I was there last year, I recommend the VIP tickets if you want to be front row for bigger acts.

This year it's not really up to my taste, tbh.

In Flames were really instrumental for me when I first got into metal and into playing music about 15 years ago. Love me some The Jester Race, so many hours on bus rides to my then-girlfriend were spent listening to that album and Colony. Sadly they really lost me after Come Clarity.

Here's something completely different, discovered this dude recently, his music is similar to John Mayer's except his vocal range is far more wide. Good mellow background music for having your morning coffee. Also his backing band has some top notch musicians, great playing.

It's as if they're a completely different band these days. I saw them live a couple of years ago and the oldest song they played was 'Only for the Weak'. A sad state of affairs, indeed.

Sometimes, when you listen to old songs for the first time in many years, you discover sexual innuendos that you totally missed as a teenager.

So I was listening to 1997's Barbie Girl, a piece of bubblegum pop which used to be very popular. But it could be easily rated pg13

At some point in the videoclip, the female singer strokes a toy (or whatever it is) in the pool as in performing a handjob.

Among other things, she says: "I can do what you want, undress me, I can beg on my knees". And stuff like that for half the song.

It isn't even that suble but back then I was totally oblivious to all of this.

My username has nothing to do with the player of loserpool fc, it is just a reference to an Italian novel.

Pop music in general is filled with these references, it's all subtle though and when you are young thats why a lot of kids like this shit because of the images and the lyrics with the "fun" sound. You are saying its not subtle but most young people dont make these associations or pick out things they do now.

I am happy i never liked pop music though.

I am obviously not talking about Madonna, Minaj, other R&B shit and etc where its not subtle at all. The difference is the one above sounds and looks like some creepy bullshit, with the Nicki Minaj you already know what the video and lyrics are gonna look like.

Ironically that is one of her better songs, even tho it's actually a reimagening of a Biggie B-Side.

Also stop hating on RnB (and neosoul). I'd rather listen to musical genius like D'angelo being upfront in his lyrics than listen to fucking pop shit like Aqua.

the point was never the "quality" of aqua. most likely, not even aquas ever thought their music was quality music.
