Let's also rename the forums to Forza Inter Milan Forums if that's how we want foreign fans to know the club.

Being called by Interisti as Inter Milan is sacrilege. Plain and simple. The people who need to mature are those who are naming the club they say they love/like/follow wrong. That's like calling your gf with a wrong name. The prize is a slap in the face, but when it comes to calling your fav club wrong it's "time to grow up".. okay... It's like you're not even worth to be called a fan. It's like being an Everton fan calling yourself an Everton Liverpool fan. Or even worse, a Lazio fan calling himself a Lazio Roma fan and a Roma fan being called a Roma Lazio fan... Half the population of the province of Lazio would probably kill eachother if that was the case.

The club's official name has always been FC Internazionale. It's been changed to FC Internazionale Milano 60 years in (still less than half its lifetime) and the club's only other name is Inter. Plain and simple. I get trying to explain this to a bunch of EPL loving FIFA playing kids, but it's 110 years in Inter's history and explaining shit like this on an Inter forum is ridiculous and you people should be ashamed.
You're a "dos santos aveiro" and an "EPL Fanboys" away from a fully encapsulating brehme1989 post.

What a ridiculous discussion about our beloved club Inter Milan.
It will be called Internazionale, because we are brothers of the world.

    Translate what?

The team's name is Inter. That's the only short version you can get. That's every official name used everywhere.

    https://www.inter.it/en/hp
    http://www.legaseriea.it/en/serie-a/teams/inter

UEFA uses Internazionale when it comes to official use. When it comes to semi-official use it uses only Inter. And when they want to be very specific, they use Internazionale Milano, which is very rare. Their schedule, reports and everything just uses Internazionale and Inter. And even the incompetents at Serie A use "Inter Milano" when it comes to articles about the club, even if mostly they use Internazionale Milano as well [eg. http://www.legaseriea.it/en/press/ne...e-cold-classic )

Who the fuck uses "Inter Milan" that makes this our name?

As for Bayern, there's no team called "Munich" but in Italian there's a team called Monaco in another city, so that's fucking stupid as well on their behalf. But it's even more fucked up than that.
Bayern is essentially like Lazio in terms of the name. Lazio is the region, just like Bayern simply means Bavaria. If you want to translate it, it's Bavaria Munich, not Bayern Munich. Unless you're telling me that in English the region is called Bayern and not Bavaria. So that's an even sillier situation.

Other than FCIM, Football Club Internazionale di Milano, there's nothing that suggests that Inter has a need for the name of the city next to it. Especially the English version of it, which is the name of our city rivals..

In Italy all they use is Inter. And when they speak to foreigners they mostly call the club "Internazionale".

Ronaldo was asked why he bought Valladolid. His reply was "because I could not afford to buy Inter"

Did you notice the Inter choreography in FIFA? It's so insulting that we have a banner for a guy who played for us 17 years ago while other teams have their logos.

He didn't say exactly that though...
Inter is an artistic venture, almost poetic. It is capable of provoking immense, unreachable joy and bitter disappointment. It’s never done by half-measures.
For me, Inter is the opening to new worlds and courage. It’s a strong passion, a marvellous illness. You can put up with the weaknesses and admire the courage, the same way you would with a son.

RONALDO: I SHOULDN’T HAVE FORCED MORATTI TO PICK CUPER OR ME

Former Inter striker Ronaldo still holds his former club in high regard, though he admits he wished he could go back and change his exit from the club.

The Brazilian left the Nerazzurri for Real Madrid in controversial fashion in 2002, as the striker didn’t get along with then coach Hector Cuper.

When Ronaldo asked President Massimo Moratti to pick between the two, the Italian opted to keep the Argentine, and the striker wishes he could go back and change the entire situation.

“Inter are in my heart and they will be forever,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “They were five great years of my life in a city that I learned to love, with people that always loved me.

“I have a real love for Milan and for Inter that I think will remain forever. The love that I felt in Italy was never the same elsewhere.

“Are there things I would do over? A few. With Inter, for example, I wouldn’t put president Moratti in a bind over my future.

“The moment that I asked him to sack Cuper or risk having me leave, Moratti chose Cuper. That’s why I wouldn’t do it again.

“Instead, I’d try to get my point across in another manner.”

Ronaldo is now majority owner of Real Vallodolid, but the Brazilian isn’t ready to take over an Italian club at this time.

“There were offers for clubs in Italy, but also in England and Portugal,” he added. “There were several interesting opportunities, but nobody spoke to me about AC Milan.

“They are out of my budget. Everything I’ve done, I’ve done on my own. People may say I am financed by someone else, but that isn’t the case.

“I am by myself with my money. I made this investment by myself. Now my dream as a president is to keep Valladolid in La Liga.”

He was loyal to Moratti, not Inter- the club. What an asshole. Hadn't it been for Moratti, he couldn't have care less. Pretty clear that he just fell in love with the City, not any teams that he was involved with. What an absolute douchebag. Such a shame, since he's by far the most talented player that will walk on this earth. But no brains.

Imho, you guys are way too harsh. If anything, i would be pissed off to Ronaldo for playing for bbilan, even if it was for a short period.

Yes, Ronaldo was an asshole. But in the end, I don't feel he was so terribly an asshole that we need to hate him.

He left Inter out of spite, cause he didn't want to work with Cuper. And again, he probably joined milan out of spite, to "punish" Moratti for choosing Cuper over him.

He considers Moratti a father (including the "punishing" part, which sounds a lot like what teenagers do to their parents).

Many former Inter players have been talking about Moratti as a second father by the way, for good or worse.

Eto'o had the sweetest words he ever said for him.

In short, I believe Ronaldo acted like a whimsical teenager.

But did he act so badly to deserve a ban from our hearts? Imho no. And he gave us many joys.

Selfish, ungrateful, and entitled yeah, but how is he a traitor? Moratti chose Cuper over him, he was hurt so he dipped like a emotional teenage girl.

Yes, it's too obvious now. That whole section from his interview about why he didn't want to play for Cuper is illuminating.

Vieri is also a liar apparently as he was claiming that 3 weeks before Ronaldo left he was willing to take a paycut to accommodate a Nesta transfer.
