He isn't irreplaceable but under our current financial situation we can't properly replace him.
There are many top strikers but the problem is, they are old!

    Lewandowski - 30
    Aguero - 30
    Cavani - 31
    Falcao - 32
    Aubameyang - 29
    Dzeko - 32

    ...

Then there are Lukaku or Kane, who arent old but we cant afford them (additionally: we cant afford someone like Aubameyang or Aguero either).

So who is left and affordable?

    Morata - doesnt score
    Firminho - cant afford him
    Paco Alcacer
Lacazette - would be great but difficult to get
    Timo Werner
    Sturridge - always injuried

    italian solutions

Belotti - is he good enough?
Immobile - dont think he is good enough
    Simeone - good enough?

In conclusion: It would be really hard to find a striker who scores, isnt too old, is affordable and wants to come to Inter.

Not that Icardi is irreplaceable but we can't replace him.
Inter is an artistic venture, almost poetic. It is capable of provoking immense, unreachable joy and bitter disappointment. It’s never done by half-measures.
For me, Inter is the opening to new worlds and courage. It’s a strong passion, a marvellous illness. You can put up with the weaknesses and admire the courage, the same way you would with a son.

Doubling his salary is cheaper and safer solution than gambling seeking his replacement. Half season wonder like Piatek cost 50m now and Genoa probably asking 70-80m and try to rip us off eventho he probably no better than Lautaro. Then six month ago people crazy enough to say sell Icardi and play Lautaro eventho he isnt yet touch his feet in Serie A, now we already seen it and I doubt people would be that Crazy to fully gambling on Lautaro.

Gabigol. Young. Scoring goals. Want to come to Inter. It fits your criteria.

I'm more interested to see how these non-Icardi teams replace their lack of Icardi.

Us selling him is suicidal, x100 more than Ronaldo back then as we had Vieri, Recoba, Adriano and there were loads of strikers out there. Now there's an evident lack of quality strikers, so selling one of the best with slim chances of a decent replacement is stupid.

    And u don't need Icardi
Sell Icardi, Perisic, Candreva, Vecino, Gags, Borja...

The above is better than what we have now
Stop making look like Icardi is some God
He is class but that's it, one man can always be replaced better
Question is if Inter can pull off such competent moves again

Lmao, that's the best midfield in the league and that department is the most important in football
Look what a midfield we have now, that's why we score less than Napoli and Rube
    Icardi present or not.

    Brozo is ok
Mario is improving but still I have doubts he can be consistently performing, bench boy would be ok spot tho
Nainggolan is AWOL most of the time
Borja is ok for last 15 minutes
    Vecino is a joke
Gags doesn't fit in to Spallo style football

Barella will be bigger than Verratti
    Kross is a maestro

    4th spot hahaha

You don't need some fancy striker if u have midfielders who can push the ball to a striker through the middle and not do 100x crosses per minute like our current ones do now in to the keepers hands

Paco Alcacer and Werner will be around 80mil, not sure if Werner would want to play in Serie A tho

Paco Alcacer is pretty good, would love to have him here, but only if we have a more creative midfield and wingers

Paco and Werner are at most substitute strikers for Icardi, not starters for a club like Inter (club Inter wants to be).

Let's sell Icardi, so we can buy Messi next Summer.

Buy Messi, Kroos, and Modric ..

We have Marotta, He already do it with C.Ronaldo.

haha Piatec has only been in serie a for half a season and hes worthy of replacing Icardi. I like that logic.

if you cant keep icardi you wont land kroos. kroos wont play for mediocre inter for 6 mil net LOL
cavani in 2013 was 26 years old and got his 10 mil net. from PSG.

we should be happy that icardi wants less or

just sell top serie A star and lurk in dirt for next 10 years.

Werner is basically a white version of Adriano that can also play on the wings or SS. His ceiling is a lot higher than Icardis. Icardi is a gloryfied Chicharito type of player - nothing wrong with that, but I'm all for bringing a rising superstar to our club with a part of the supposed 150mil Icardi could get us.

Like for instance having Thorgan and Paco Alcacer is to me better than having just Icardi. Sell Perišić as well.

Now these are two names we can agree on.

Werner has a contract that expires in 2020 and he has refused a contract extension. Leipzig reportedly want 60m which isn't a sum we can't afford in case we sell Icardi. The tough job would be convincing Werner to come to Serie A though as the player has expressed the desire to join Bayern in the past.

I agree with you about Paco. I like him as well but it would be pointless to bring him to Inter without the proper players behind him.

I even put there is nothing wrong with that, there are many Inzaghi-type players that won CL. Doesn't mean that's the only type of striker that can succeed here.
