Yes I read that and the report also said that we have dropped 2 places, but between us and Arsenal it's just a matter of £5m so I am not too worried about that...

Nice to know that we have over £100m of income though!

    More on this here:
    http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_...416298,00.html

However the article also rightly indicates the following:
The findings indicate that, irrespective of the resources of their billionaire owner Roman Abramovich, Chelsea can flex financial muscle comparable to traditional European powerhouses such as Juventus, Milan and Real Madrid. However, Abramovich underwrote an unprecedented £87.8m loss last season, something that is not reflected in Deloitte's figures which relate only to income.

So basically dont get too hyped up

Yeah that is true, not because we earn less, but because Chelsea and Barca's income have exploded.

On the other hand we can't use this information, because it only show the one side of the budget. Some of thise clubs over us have a deficit in the balance of payments for example Chelsea.

Wheile we have plus on our balance of payments (if I'm not mistaking)

Yeah as said it's only incomes , as it's relatively known that Juve's financial situation isn't very good and that Man City and Lazio are poor.

4 English, 3 Italian, 2 Spanish and 1 German club. Seems like it has stayed this way for some time. Although i do recall that Chelsea and Liverpool were never that high on the table several years back. The great fall of Italian football has seen traditional powerhouses like Lazio and Roma disappear from the global radar. Sad.

    2006 update

Real overtake Man United as world's richest club
    1:32 PM February 16

Real Madrid have overtaken Manchester United to become the richest club in world soccer, ending the English club's eight-year reign at the top.
The Football Money League report published by consultants Deloitte also shows that combined revenues from the game's top 20 earning teams broke through the 3 billion euros ($4.8 billion) barrier for the first time.
Real's income of $529 million for the 2004-05 season saw the club's revenue grow 17 per cent year-on-year, dislodging United ($397 million) from top spot for the first time in the report's nine-year history.

Much of Real's success was down to the Spanish club capitalising on the global appeal of players like David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, and Ronaldo, the report said.
"Real have transformed their revenues, doubling them in only four years," said Deloitte partner Dan Jones.
"Although president Florentino Perez's strategy of recruiting world class 'galactico' players has not necessarily delivered the anticipated on-pitch results recently, their presence has facilitated a transformation in the club's financial performance," he said.
Italy's AC Milan remained third on $377 million, while Serie A rivals Juventus, who clinched their 28th scudetto last season, were next after seeing a 7 per cent rise in revenue despite having the lowest average attendance in the top 20.
English champions Chelsea, bought and bankrolled by Russian oil billionaire Roman Abramovich since July 2003 slipped a place to fifth with $356 million after being last year's highest climbers.
Next were Barcelona, followed by Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Inter Milan and Arsenal.

    so basically.

    Real
    Man U
    Milan
    Juve
    Chelsea
    Barca
    Bayern
    Liverpool
    Inter
    Arsenal

    Milan in the money
    Thursday 16 Februay, 2006
Milan are the third richest club in the world, according to the annual Deloitte Football Money League.

The Rossoneri maintained their position in the elite list after netting £158m in revenue for the 2004-05 season.

Juventus moved up from five to four, replacing Premiership giants Chelsea, thanks to the £154.9m they bagged.

Real Madrid came top after Manchester United’s eight-year reign came to an end, given the £20m difference in earnings last season.

Inter were the third highest placed Italian outfit in ninth, while capital giants Roma and Lazio – despite their financial troubles – were also in the Top 20.

The Deloitte report is based on revenue which is built up through the sales of such items as tickets, merchandise and broadcasting rights.

It does not take into account any money which may have been accumulated through player transfer fees.

    Top 20
    1(2) Real Madrid £186.2m
    2(1) Man Utd £166.4m
    3(3) Milan £158m

    5(4) Chelsea £149.1m
    6(7) Barcelona £140.4m
    7(9) Bayern Munich £128m
    8(10) Liverpool £122.4m
    9(8) Inter £119.7m
    10(6) Arsenal £115.7m
    11(12) Roma £89m

    This is highly unreliable guys

    1) Expenditure is not taken into account, so the BALANCE is unknown
    2) We, Milan and Barca are the only big teams that have real sugar daddies. Actually Barca does not have a direct sugar daddy, but they have the power through the club to get some cash from the club members

Yep, means $hit. Totally unbelievable that they based the richest club in the world based on turnover only. It's a totally amateurish mistake.

They based it on revenue cause they can't get cost figures from the clubs only from those listed on the stock exchange.

I think we will be higher next year since the revenue we receive from the sky and media set deals we signed a few weeks ago only comes in from next season.
