They will be dismantled and the parts would be sent to Africa for building stadiums/houses etc

Fucking World Cup at Qatar. It is a shame to give a small country like this a World Cup. Imagine World Cups in Italy, Spain, England... And not Quatar...

I don't have a problem with a small country having the WC but in the middle of the desert?...It's en eco nightmare, IMO

It's pretty obvious that money was the deciding factor in their selection...of course, the alternative was to have it in the UK and I wouldn't have been able to stomach the English ranting about their 'chance's at a WC title for the next several years either

The stadiums are amazing! I have never seen those pictures!

The biggest issue with Qatar is the high temperatures. And not only for the players (since the stadiums are supposed to have like a climatic control system) but for all the fans, tourists, and even for squads when they are training before their matches. Time will tell...

Well humans have been living in Qatar for ages... I've lived through the heat all my life, its not the end of the world, yes it becomes uncomfortable but everywhere you go, its all a/c cooled, even bus stops here.

So you just need to try and minimize staying out. Even the soccer stadia will be cooled, so the tourists can get a nice tan as well as notburn to death as some of the people here think they might. Its not the end of the world.

I know that stadiums will have a climatic control, and the pitch would stay cooled as well as the entire stadium, but it is not only that. I am guessing all the teams would have to be training the days they do not have matches, so they will probably have to train in pitches at very high temperatures.

But, not really my problem... I will still be there cheering for Mexico (as long as they make it through).

The US has had it in 1994. You guys can always get the next one since you have the infrastructure ready.

    Really?

Of all the countries that have an extraordinary passion for football, you think "making the game more popular" is a good reason to give it to the US.

The US will probably use American football stadiums for the World Cup anyway, and how is that exactly benefiting the game in the US? They'll just go back to their original form after the tournament ends

I'd hate to see the WC hosted in a country where they don't give a fuck normally about football.

Highest average attendance for a World Cup is 68,991 per match. Can you guess which World Cup that was in???

Those stadiums are going to be amazing when the time comes. They earned the bid, considering their offer and proposals.
