    Moratti needs to sack.......

....himself and the management team. They are and have simply done a terrible job managing this team. A quick glance through the years shows this. There has never been and as evidenced by current conditions, any long term plan, forethought or strategy and if there was, such strategy was short sighted and simply bad.

All our success really only came through stable managers; Mancini and Mourinho. And even during their tenures, Moratti had to fight the urge to sack them. Look at how many managers Inter have signed in the last 16 years? It is incredible. The signings of Mancini and Mourinho now look more like statistical probabilities, rather than a researched and thorough selection process. Furthermore, look at the diverse nature of the coaches, their philosophies, track record, history e.t.c. and only one conclusion can be drawn; Moratti has always chased success but never through stability. He has just always chased the "who is hot right now?" or "who is the next big thing?".

This is what is responsible for what we are seeing today. This club has for too long been run on emotion and not on pragmatism and careful planning. It is this approach that is wholly responsible for our current financial status regarding FFP. All the money spent on buying the next best coach or player without regard for building a sustainable team.

Moratti, please sack yourself and the management team. If you could take a hands-off approach and just sack the management, I'll be all for it. However, I am not naive enough to believe you can take a hands-off approach.

Moratti made some terrible decisions after the treble season for sure but he brought us so much more, including the best season this club ever had... That alone makes up for it and he will repair the damage over time anyway, Inter will be back. Saying that he should be sacked because of these few mistakes is ridiculous. Everyone has their bad moments... And after winning everything, you don't always think straight. Have faith in our president who has always been loyal and smart... I wouldn't want another president, the way he handles the press, the way he just is as a person... He is awesome! Compare him to other presidents, most of them are fucking dickheads. Bbilan has fucking Berlusconi, for christ sake... Fuck this thread.

Moratti has done a lot for this club, poured in over 800m of his personal wealth for the love of his beloved nerazzurri. Sure, he made a few mistakes, but IMO he is Inter's No1 fan, and I respect him for that. I rather have a president who loves this shirt as much as I do, than have some oil baron from abroad who doesn't really care about the club.

We have been hit by some questionable decisions in the last 12-15 months, but thats also coz the game has changed with FFP coming into play from this season. I believe the club has got its strategy right, reducing our wage bill by almost 40-50%, however the implementation of the strategy still needs a lot of improvement. I am sure we will get it right over a period of time, and with Moratti in charge, we know that he will invest as much as he can...

    In Moratti we trust.

I think Mr. Moratti's love for the club gets in the way of his business of the club

People are acting the same way about Inter that they would react if you insulted their 'motherland'. My view is, as fans it is OUR JOB to be critical. And that NO ONE person is bigger than the club. That includes Moratti.

The idea that we should just leave it to Moratti, don't worry, definitely don't criticize, and things will magically, automatically get better over time. You know why that is? Because THINGS COULDN'T GET MUCH WORSE.

After the Treble my FIRST thought was: What about next season? What do we need to do to repeat? How do we avoid complacency, lack of hunger, and an aging squad? Clearly me and Moratti were on different planets.

If FFP is a big deal, why is Inter the only club concerned about 'being caught offside' as Moratti likes to say. Why are we the only club 'preparing' for FFP by reducing expenses, rather than trying to 'spend money to MAKE money', ie. increase revenue.

In my view, if the same Moratti was running Inter as the Moratti from 1999-2009 we would have Zlatan still on the team. We would have purchased Eto'o straight up. We would have bought the most promising midfielders in Serie A, such as Hamsik, and Kwadwo Asamoah. We would have reinforced the defence with someone atleast, ATLEAST, the quality of Kjaer.

Instead, Inter loans players, signs 50% of players, decide to splash the cash, but not for another 6 months, when the midfield clearly needed reinforcement LAST January!

Its unacceptable. If Inter needs to reduce its losses, it should pursue a strategy of GROWTH, not 'downsizing', or getting ready for FFP, or however people justify this BS to themselves.

Achilles is spot on wit his argument, it seems Inter has no business stragedy or a sense of stability in that while other big teams have a plan going forward Inter just play by ear. It hurts because I love Inter but they keep making stupid mistakes.

criticism is ok but you push things to far
do you have any clue what you are talking about here?
    uefa cup 1998
    06 07 08 09 10 scudetto
    05 06 10 cup
    cl 2010
10 we won scudetto cup cl supercup world cup

if you ever heard of "grande inter" and then the name "moratti" do any bells ring there?
invested a SHITLOAD of money in that club brought a countless number of superstars to the club many of which were anything than a bad investment

short-lived times these days - terrible!!!

and last year after a terrible start even if i expected more 2nd place was ok

come back if you have invested many hundreds of millions and an endless amount of time into the club where others in his financial position would never show that much compassion and interest in a football club over such a long period of time

if you seek wannabe pimps throwing around millions not giving a fuck about their club/management/coach/team i suggest you take a closer look at some russians or arabs buying clubs around the world like others buy panini stickers

and if you talk about responsibility as a fan and beeing critical - thats fine, but i feel most here are only one thing:
    ungrateful

    dont like to read this
dont like to read bullshit about milito and other players - not as long as they once contributed so much
criticize moratti for this season - fine
criticize milito for his bad shape currently ok

but some of you seem to be interfans since a month or else i cant understand many of the claims you throw onto the table!

and thread author: dont feel offended this is not a direct reply to you - its a general statement

I understand why some if you defend Moratti, but he tries so hard to replicate his father, yes he has invested hundreds of millions of money into this club but there has not been any sense of stability in this club for a very VERY long time.

Some might be happy for those scudettos that we won but most forget that it took a large scandal for us to win 5 scudettos I will admit the bettet team won in those seasons, and then Mr. Mourinho came in brought a little bit of stability with him and we won an impressive treble the only Italian team to do so.

But if you look at now we didnt find a suitable replacement for Mourinho and we didnt improve our roster of players either. We also had 4 managers in 2 years. I look at Inter now and I cannot see the direction we're going other than down. If you think I do not love Inter consider that I was with Inter thru their barren years and the success we have seen recently is long overdue, but worldclass teams have stability and a long term plan but we do not and we continue to sell our promising young players, then buy 30 or older players that give us maybe 1-2 good seasons then nothing, where is the sense in that?

People are asking why are we preparing for FFP more than other teams are...well simply....

Can you guys see where we are? Out of all the teams around us...we probably have the WORST revenue. Barca, Man U etc make heaps more than us in other areas such as gate receipts and TV deals. We can never compete there. It's called being realistic. Some of you are way too spoiled, living in the past.

    Shit is fucking real.

Better to prepare for it in case it happens. If it doesn't, Moratti better sue the pants off Uefa for telling us to get ready. We obliged. If you can't see the clear strategy in trying to stay competitive, but make it for FFP then you are blind. Shits me when people say there is no strategy. There fucking is, just because you don't like it or don't agree with it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Second. The 'post-treble' fuck up of not rejuvenating the team. Tbh, it was a 50-50. Why wouldn't you want to stick with the same team that just owned Europe? Who would have guessed Milito would become a fuck head? Moratti could have done 180 and changed the team like you all want, and then if it failed, he would be branded the biggest moron in history for dismantling a treble winning squad.

Secondly, the team must stay with the Moratti's, for as long as they are able to do so. Get your head out of the fucking sand and look at the figures below.

I love Inter and I believe in Mr. Moratti I am not calling for him to step-down it wouldn't make any sense for him to do that, he is not the reason for our sudden decline, what I'm asking for a is a bit of stability and to reduce our gargantuan wage bill. I still think Inter can compete for a very long time to come but with a manager that has been with the club for the forseeable future not just 1 and done, and if we can nurture our youth players and gradually bring them in them into the first team not sell them for dirt cheap. FORZA INTER!!!!!!!

    quotes.

If you want the likes of Mourinho, Ibra, Eto etc who provide stability, you cant have a small wage bill, unfortunately. We have done brilliantly financially in the last 2 summers.

We are bringing through young players every season. But people here hate on them too.

And I can bet, no other team with roughly the same revenue as us will meet FFP and still remain in the hunt for trophies ever. If not this summer, we'll defintely be in the green come 2013.

    ffp and what about debts?
yeah real madrid a real example ...

fuck ffp with that much money involved they will get their ass ripped off in no time
as if those investing billions in football clubs simply because they want and can do would bow to the uefa

    nice idea but bullshit
high debts are one thing and generous "sponsors" / presidents are another thing
and they WILL find way around this anyway...

even if it happens im sure it will only mean mm cant take no risks anymore and the marketing/quality-contract/money ratio for players will improve and i welcome that

Moratti is the one who put us in that poor financial position to begin with.. It's not like he bought the club and it was making such losses...

And Nyally, why were those losses? Cmon, seriously stop blaming MM for every single thing. He bought success and now he's making our club financially self sufficient. And Milk!, we dont have any debts.

Im not worried about this FFP thing as other big clubs are probably in the same situation. We are not the only big club trying to downsize to prepare for this, but yes we did put ourselves in this situation.

And on a different note we, Inter has one of the BEST youth teams in the world, our youth academy gets alot of respect worldwide, so our young players can compete with our first team if given the chance, its not just Inter but all of Italian soccer that doesnt focus on developing youth players and integrating them into the first team. We have so many promising young players im enthusiastic about the future but we should put more emphasis on our young players particularly Countinho, in the coming seasons to transition away from the older players and get ready for this FFP.

How sure you are we have one of the best youth teams in the world? I don't even remember who was the last Primavera we had breached into a top footballer. Plus, our Primavera just got beaten by Tottenham Hotspurs 7-1 few weeks ago.

I'm saying this because I don't see our Primavera as one of the best in the world.
