If someone had made samekind of mistake in defence he would have been crucified. Don't need to be much of a striker to score that but that happens. Still professional player cannot put these on bad luck.

I'm a fan of Livaja but shit does happen. We have seen Eto'o, Milito miss strikes very dead center positions and somehow sky them. Shit happens, he was actually getting ready to turn and celebrate and the ball came back to him he was like "wtf"...

Every game that he played i didn't saw nothing special about him. Where is Longo?!

Well, I liked his performances, great movements, high work-rate and he scores sometimes. He still need time to develop, but I'm happy with his current level tbh. That sitter can happen and he will grow from it. :work:

agreed. some very very good players have skied efforts before. Wasnt it Milito who did a Kanu recently?
Shit happens, but in 10 minutes he offered more of a goalscoring threat than Milito did. Keep the faith.

And I'll say again...

Milito's job is to be the goalscorer. If he can do other things, whilst offering that? Great. World class. Brilliant. Perfect.

However, he did not ONCE get into a dangerous situation for us today. He created some decent chances, but he's the focal point of our attack.

If he wants to play as a trequartista, he should tell Strama, and get someone else to play the goalscoring threat, because today he was utterly useless as a direct goalscoring threat, offering only the one half chance after a Palacio fuck up, where he skied the ball.

Milito is the player I expect to be on the recieving end of those sort of crosses, or the through balls. Not the one creating them. The problem when your striker drifts out to create these opportunities, is that there is no one in the box to exploit them.

well if there would have been someone who would actually put some through balls at a dangerous place he would have been dangerous

tactical discipline is a very important part of top end games. he should be prepared to bide his time, for the 1 chance that comes up, because that is where he scores. Creating 10 chances for nobody is not as good as being invisible for 89 minutes, and taking the chance that you are offered.

Like I said

he's the flagship goalscorer. If it isn't him, who else is it going to be? Cassano? Palacio?

Milito is our guy, and if he's not there, nobody is.

i think milito learned to do more than hang about the box last year after playing with Pazzo who appeared useless for doing so.

if Milito thought he was going to get decent service he'd probably poach

Sorry, where have I hated on Milito?

I'm just stating. You put someone up front to score goals, not to create chances. That's the very definition of the lone striker.

He can drop back all he wants, but his role 1.0 is to score. Anything else he does ontop of that is great, and secondary. While he doesn't fulfill role 1.0, he doesnt deserve to be playing UP FRONT.

Like I said...

If he's playing trequartista, that's fine...

something like

.....

Palacio Milito Cassano

... Livaja/Lewandowski/Llorente/etc

Fine. But when he's the lone goalscorer for our team, he has to be more tactically disciplined.

Strama preferred Milito before Pazzo exactly because he just didnt want a target man in the box.

So his role isnt just to be the lone goalscorer. His position is a CF but in Strama's 3 striker system strikers should swicht places so they wouldnt be so predictable.

But when we have only 3 experienced strikers and cause Strama wants them all in starting line up it leads to them being too tired to be sharp week in week out. At the start of the season things were okey when they were fully fit but the last games showed they cannot play this much.

Well he goes once in a while to the side of the pitch. Like in that Livaja's miss. And also comes deeper to get the ball.

not a fan, but dont blame him for that shit happens

There are people who are actually to blame but hey they had a awesome 2010 !!!! It's easier to blame a 19 year old starting out that makes no money then a guy we paid 11 million euro for and 2 of our best paid players for not being able to do shit all game.

I don't like any of our strikers but for people to blame shit on this kid is pretty piss poor. He has done well in the few chances he has gotten. I don't think he will be world class or anything but not a bad rotation player that will most likely end up at Genoa for some shit player + cash.

Have you seen the midfield that Palacio and Milito have behind them? It's a fucking joke! Serie B teams play more fluidly than this. Cambiasso's goal vs. Genoa was basically a Hail Mary from Cassano...the only way we could've scored.

If teams can cancel out Cassano (which isnt hard to do because he can't run) then we have zero forward passes...only long balls.

We were without Guarin, once Guarin comes back our midfield is equivalent to a mid-table Serie A team's.
