The best Coutinho was towards the end of his Espanyol spell, and also before he got the foot injury this season. Those two periods he was really good, and both periods came after he was getting consistent minutes.

I am still hopeful he will not be sold. We don't have any player in hand to spend the money on if he is sold. And there is no point in weakening the squad while making a run for the CL spot.

Its not about how much Moratti is willing to pay, its about how much can we spend and still meet UEFA's FFP guidelines.

we sold sneijder vor 7.5 mills, and he took 2.5, so we took 5 mill

Paulinho's price is now above 20.

Sneijder sold for 7.5. If you assume Jonathan will go for 3, that is 10. Mariga can be sold for another 3, which brings us to 13. If we can sell Alvarez for 8 that brings us to 21.

The problem is we can't find buyers for Jonathan/Mariga/Alvarez and there are many lining up for Coutinho. The problem is if we sell coutinho and keep the rest they will all be those three will leave in the summer because if they are not good enough now, it means they won't be around for next season. Out of all those players Coutinho is the only one likely to stay on for next season.

There was an offer of 4 from Russia, which he rejected. But it is very unlikely he will get any other offers at this point.

Even without his 3, we could get 18m from the other players. That should be enough to start negotiating.

The sticking point is no one want to buy Alvarez. All offers are for loans. Which sucks because he will be sold over the summer anyway.

Alvarez will fetch at max 6m, Jonathan around 2m, Mariga won't fetch more than 1-2m if at all he fetches us that too.
There is no one else. That's precisely why Coutinho could be sold.

My problem is we will be selling a player we want to keep and then end up selling the rest later anyway.

That is even assuming we can get Paulinho this month, even for 20m. Which as things are going is a very big assumption at this point.

It is just insane how every club in the EPL has a ton of money. QPR, Southhampton and Liverpool have all spent more than any club in Serie A.

A fairly strange thing is apparently after happening. Inter are now denying that they had even made a bid for belhanda. given that the announcement of an accepted bid had come from Monpellier directly, well this does seem like Inter may have done a very sharp U- turn.

What news are we going to hear later/ have Liverpool suddenly given up the chase? With money being so tight at Inter at the moment, you'd certainly have to wonder what has happened.

Tbh, if we gonna sell Coutinho, I am done with Stramaccioni and our fucking youth project. Cassano can't play one whole game without standing the last minutes, Milito is often injured and not the old one. We only have Palacio upfront who is over 30 as well and only Livaja and Coutinho currently in our squad who are young and can contribute something upfront.

FFS just let him play more often and everyone will be happy. This dude is a future top-player, everyone can see that :fffuuu:
