he wasnt slow running every ball stolen was done from a last ditch slide, he did lose possession but i want to see him start.
last ditch slide? Alvarez would get the ball with about a 4 yard head start on the Chievo players and they would easily catch up and put pressure on him.. Alvarez is slow.. He's good on the ball when standing still and he has time to make a pass, but in a game with constant pressure, Alvarez would be shit. Hence the reason why he never starts.

Mastermind for finally doing something so blatantly obvious?

Too late in my eyes.
It could have been sooner but not having Milito changed things a lot.

You guys don't understand that we can't stick to 4-3-3 having 4 attackers in squad with one of them almost in his fourties...

Back four is a MUST, but 4-3-3? I don't think so.

Livaja could come in sometimes...

That's exactly what I wrote in the match thread.

The only way we can rotate and have a 4-3-3 is to play only two out of Milito/Cassano/Palacio in every game, hence giving each of them sufficient rest. However, the alternatives are not ideal:

Cassano/Alvarez --- Milito/Rocchi --- Palacio/Schelotto

The only decent alternative here is Alvarez. So what I would suggest are the following combinations:

1. Cassano - Milito - Alvarez
2. Cassano - Palacio - Alvarez
3. Alvarez - Milito - Palacio
4. Cassano - Milito - Palacio (for the big games)

Or we shift to a 4-3-2-1 / 4-3-1-2 every now and then, which is probably more sensible and probably what we will do.

4-3-2-1 alternatives:

---------------Milito/Palacio
---Cassano/Kovacic - Guarin/Alvarez

4-3-1-2 alternatives

---------Milito/Rocchi - Palacio/Cassano
----------------Guarin/Alvarez

Palacio, Rocchi, Milito, Alvarez, Kovacic, Cassano, Schelotto can all play as forwards. Don't see why not.

Count Ricky as one of them.

We could also play 4-3-2-1 which is basically the same, or 4-3-1-2, with Kova as the AM.

That's correct, he really needs to learn to protect the ball better, defenders steal the ball from behind him way too easily. He got a couple of things to learn from Milito.

the defense can't deal with crosses at all without samuel, especially when there are only 2 CB's

this is the reason he switched to a back 3 in the first place, but now he has to work hard on defending set pieces, because rano and jesus are still inexperienced in those situations

so we have to hope for the defenders to learn how to be organized without samuel, but until they can learn to do that on their own, strama has address this problem and hopefully solve it. If he can do that then inter will be in a great position to challenge for the scudetto next season

If we continue the 4-3-3, I really think he should bench Palacio and start Alvarez the next couple of games. Either Alvarez or Kovacic should take his place in the trident upfront. Probably Alvarez, Kova should be used strictly in the midfield and never experiment his position.

Also, our wingbacks cant cross for shit. My personal opinion is that we should never have bought Naga (its how im wired to think, cant change this) he cant cross, he cant dribble, he is not fast, he just has a spirit of a fighter thats all, and Zanetti its not a first team player anymore, not fast enough for a wingback that should have 5/10 crosses in the box within a game, not attempts but crosses.

This formation is good, but Strama fucked shit up with the player selection in the transfer period. We did not need a player like Schellotto, im not saying this because i rate him very low (and yes, i do rate him very low), but because his style of play, id rather go for a striker or attacking winger/am/ss.

My opinion is that 4-3-1-2 will suit us more Kuzma-Cambi-Guarin with Kova in front of them (or Guarin <-> Kova), this also will give us one striker in the bench alongside Rocchi. Also if the two strikers are Milito and Cassano, this would mean that all our player except for maybe Cambi, can and know to pass the fucking ball, a style of play that wont rely that much of our non existent wingbacks and their "corsses".

So, we play 2 attackers at most with Livaja and Coutinho in the squad... Then we ship them out and look like we're going to a front 3

I decide not to watch the game, and he finally plays 4-3-2-1, with Juan and Rano as CBs :palm:

Maybe I should stop watching these games, and one day Zanetti won't play in midfield

Finally on the chances of finishing third: "It's hard to know who to go for, we've got two six-pointers against Fiorentina and AC Milan, actually the latter is just a friendly! Then it's the Cup again, so we'll focus and see who does the best."

You're so full of shit.. You knew very well what the formation was going to be. But you were so caught up in your negative bullshit that you ended missing a brilliant match.

You wait an entire week to see the kid play, now hes injured.

Fuck this game tbh. Im not watching this shit. I dont have the heart to watch them lose to a bottom table team again. At least with Kova youd get to see him play.

Like I said to stuntman.. You're pathetic.

Yea I knew the formation, because Gds predicted it. They're pretty credible in that area.

The way we play on the pitch is not really a 433. Its a bit of 4312 since one of Milito/Palacio kept dropping back to help out in midfield, and they didn't move with width as a 433 should be. Considering its 4312/4321 that we're playing, Guarin and Kovavic can fit into this formation easily. This should become our default formation and we do have the players to support it.

I think Guarin could play where Palacio played yesterday, somewhere on the right, or a right CM/box-to-box

depending on where we need him. definately want him in midfield against Fiora and Milan (and not on AMC)
