Yea you would. You want to win right? You'd try to stop it.

NO I WOULDN'T. If I could block it with my chest or shoulder or feet, I'd try. But not with unfair means with my hands like a keeper. Hmm...it seems like I'm the only one who likes to see fairplay in football.

A decision like that it's only instinct, you don't have time to think if you're doing the right thing or not, it happens too fast.

Well if I play football my instincts don't tell me use my hands at all. Whatever you guys can think what you want, but I'm almost 100% sure I wouldn't do it.

Suarez...... FIFA Ban for life .......hope they Investigate the Incident.

I would have TKO him.......... if he done that to me.

TKO... I reckon he'd have you for breakfast...literally :)

Ban for life :D Would you want a lifetime ban for Head-butting, punching, kicking and elbowing ?
Quick question... Would you rather have a broken leg or a love-bite of Suarez ?

I'm almost 100% sure I would do it and if I was Coach I'd expect my players to not only take one for the team but take one for the Country
If you was last man and had the opportunity to foul a player to stop him from scoring a open goal or something. Would you take one for the team ? would you take one for your country ? I reckon you would even though its actually a worse thing to do because it involves premeditated violence ( for want of a better word) and a risk of physical injury to the victim.

I wouldn't do it for the reasons you listed at the end. And as a coach I would rather have a fair player than an asshole like Suarez. It seems like I have a different mindset than the others here.

Of course a liverpool-supporter would try to reason Suarez' actions.

Edit: It's like saying: Would you do match fixing if only you would be punished and not the whole team? would you take one for the team? No because it's unfair.

Saint Aurel :)
As a Inter fan what do think of Inter players who make last ditch fouls to stop goals ?
I know you say you personally wouldn't make the foul or hand the ball but do you think the same when it comes to Inter players.

btw It's nothing like match-fixing, which in my opinion should bring lifetime bans.

Well let's talk about our game in Livorno, many demanded a foul from Samuel against Emeghara, and I was shocked. Samuel is a hard player but a fair one. It would ruin his image and I didn't want him to make that foul. And I'm happy he didn't do it. I don't want us to win dirty and have assholes in our team. For example I hated Materazzi just because of his behaviour. I don't care how much he loved this club, I don't want an asshole like that to represent Inter.

Fair enough you seem like a purist and it's admirable but unfortunately football is a realist game full of "assholes" who have a win at all cost attitude.
I'd recommend you follow another sport like Crown Green Bowls but tbh it's sh*t :)

I love the concept of football and I could never stop watching it. I know my standarts are unrealistic, but you say they're admirable. I think it's what football should thrive to become. It starts with small gestures and step by step football could be "purified". I know football isn't like that right know but I want football to take steps towards a world without assholes.

And what the hell is Crown Green Bowls??

But you mentioned you're okay with fouling a player as the last man (well, you mentioned it's not the same thing so I guess not as bad or not "unfair") when he's through on goal. Is that also against fair play? Because if you don't foul him, he has a better chance of scoring, if you do foul him, you give the them a free kick much harder to score, thus robbing that team of a better chance to go through.

Hmm you're kind of missing my point, but I will gladly give you my opinion on this question. If you go in and foul someone as the last player just so he can't score, fully aware that you couldn't take the ball of him, then it's just as unfair IMO. For me the intention is what's important. If you foul as the last man, because you were thinking you could get the ball and you miss it, you will have to live with that red card and the penalty or freekick given. Basically any action commited with the intention to just hurt the player or rob the other player or team of a chance should have bigger consequences than just a red card. I know it's hard to define the intention but that would be the ideal for me. Most of the fouls don't have the intention of hurting someone or robbing them of a chance. Tactical fouls for example have that intention to just rob the other team from an opportunity and are rightfully punished with a yellow card or even red card.

So basically long story short: If you foul as the last man with no chance of getting the ball or no intention of getting the ball it really is against fair play IN MY OPINION.

Suarez makes me vomit. What a waste. Instantly overrated after two goals against a weak England, but now he already shows his real face. What a fucking cunt. The third time in his career already for fucks sake.

Seriously mate? Suarez overrated?

i hope Mancini will be the new coach of Italy. He will surely not play whit Balotelli. I hate him. People says "Ohh yes, Balotelli is our beste player. Give him another chance. Remember for example Germany Italy he scored 2 goals"

WTF? That first goal was asist be Cassano and the second was not difficult, Mattia Destro or some other player had score too.

And did you ever see such a player failing at a Euro?

Never saw such a dumb player at Italy.

Mancini - He had great players at Inter but it must be said that Inter was only second, behind the Juventus Mafia (Before Calciopoli) everybody knows that the Grande Inter was startet by him.
