Sky - Jovetic missing the 'yes' of the City to close
SM: Jovetic, there is also an agreement with the City, here are the figures.
22 million euro redemption in 2017 including the two-year loan of 3.4 million, for the player a contract from 5 years to 4 million per season. The Nerazzurri, however, also reflected on Salah: his agent is in London, he was not. We will understand more in the coming hours.

22 million?! It would be one of th most retarded deals in history  something like Eto + 40 million for Ibra

Didn't Juve's midfield cost them something like 11 million? So we are paying twice that amount just so we can pay Jovetic's salary while he is getting massaged

Oh boy!! Hahaha

I want Salah, not :

especially for that price: 3,4m + 22m = 25,4m :nono:

In your earlier post you 22 million including 3.4 for loan so that means the total is 22 million.

What if he stays fit entire season and bosses around? We do know he is capable, right? If he does, will it look like shitty deal as well?

Ya its huge gamble, but if id gamble on injury prone player, Jojo is deffo the one to gamble on.

Would you say the same about Pato for 22 million too? Same age, similar style of play, both injury-prone and both once in a time did well in Serie A. Except Pato at his best was better than Jovetic and would cost much less than the ridiculous 22 million with probably lesser wages. So logically if you want to use that 'if he stays healthy' argument, Pato would make much more sense!

I'm tired if these 'if he stays fit' BS. Next thing you know people are going to ask for Ronaldo back and since he has the same age as Luca Toni, people could use the same rediculous 'if' argument.

What? No he wasn't, he just didn't get in the team much after injury because Pellegrini went for the continuity of Aguero-Dzeko. Not getting consistent football ahead of Sergio Aguero doesn't make you garbage, he still had some great moments:
that game against liverpool was particularly superb.

With Corinthians who jettisoned him to their city rival or São Paulo where he is like the 5th option?

But he would probably cost half that 22 million and half the wages...

Just to be clear, I'm not suggesting to sgin Pato. I'm just saying that saying 'if Jovetic regains fitness' is like saying 'if Pato regains fitness' since they are similar players. Except Pato would cost much less.

Well I don't watch Brazillian football, but did he have have 11 (19) league appearances with 8 goals? If so, I wouldn't call him garbage either.

I'd gamble on Jojo, I am biased, always wanted him at Inter. He has physical problems, but he always played lights out when fit and frankly wasn't garbage at City - That's all I can say. Your argument doesn't really stick when you use that comparison - There are several players who have flashed brilliance for a serie A team and then moved on to another and played like shit? Suazo anybody? would you like me to compare him to Salah?

How come my argument doesn't stick? Lol

Same age, similar style of play, similar physique, both talented, both used to play in Serie A and both were very promising players some time ago. Also, they both played for few seasons in Serie A and not just a few months loan. So they had time to settle.

Now both are in a different league and not doing so well.

A better comparison can't be made!

The stat was an (admittedly simplistic) illustration of why Jovetic hasn't been garbage in BPL, not really a comparison to Pato though I did make it sound that way. Clearly, scoring in the Premiership is worth more than in a South American league, and Pato's stats would need to be a lot better there than Jovetic's in the prem for them to be comparable imo.
