I feel so underwhelmed by this rumour, I just feel he isn't nearly as creative as we need, no pazazz factor, too old for his position, I mean if this was 2-3 years ago I'd totally get it, but now I feel like he isn't what we need. We're only getting him (if we do) because of his defensive contribution, and Mancini's obsession with having defensive minded players everywhere as he can't come up with tactics to actually defend well.

Is it just me that feels this way? I have 0 excitement for Candreva, don't get me wrong I know he's good and a couple of seasons ago I would have been more excited, but he's not as good as I'd like and not what we need imo, I know I know all we can do within financial constraints but still.

I feel just about the same. Too expensive and it's not like he'll set the world on fire. But apparently it's a realistic target and there might not be any other player willing to come for a struggling Inter side that could bless us with more than Candreva has to offer.

Candreva is a good catch, better than nothing , after joao mario issue and Gabriel, or pjaca loose, i feel sceptic about this season. Candreva is an italian and in his prime ,we definately cant rely on biabiany whole season.

I don't think we can do better than Candreva given the financial constraints in terms of a player that will perform from day one. His got everything you want for the RW position in Mancini's lineup.. One on one dribbling, can cross, can defend, can pick a pass too.. Only downside is his age. Just fucking sign him so we can close this damn thread already

We don't have many options. Candreva guarantees us hard work, goals, assists, width. He'll immediately start delivering. Quite an underrated player he is. A very very good signing he'll be. I can see him performing well for 4 years easily.

not every transfer is about resale value. as long as we get an upgrade on the right wing position, im totally fine with investing in him.
we just have to hurry up and conclude as soon as possible, so he can get himself used to the team.

A club in our situation shouldn't spend 25m euros on a 29 years old player whatsoever. He won't add much progress in our team anyway. It's not like we will suddenly get that 3rd spot because of Candreva. No point in adding further FFP contraints when you BADLY need it for the upcoming seasons (after booting Mancini). Rely on cheap quality players like Benega and promote some youngsters.

I remember when Mourinho wanted Maicon at Real, Perez was against it because he didn't want to get an old player. Maicon was the same age as Candreva is now but he was the best in the world in his position and Madrid are the richest club in the world.

If we keep spending money on old fart we'll get nowhere.

This Candreva deal is going to be another Hernanes signing.

Yes, sometimes you need to do such deals but for clubs like Juve who can afford it. Not club like us who are losing shitload of money every season.
