We defended well.. HAHA. They outplayed us badly, we defended badly and needed Handanovic's to be at his best.. for a small lose.

The moment Rano has stopped holding, shirt pulling and bear hugging players in the box, we conceded the first goal. Oh actually 1 minute later after yet another save by Handa.

We defended well? We could not clear a single ball out of the box, we made Virgil van Dijk look like a fusion of Maldini and Thiago Silva.. but we defended well lol

Firing De Boer was stupid but I will not get into it too much. Inter likes to redo the same mistakes over and over again.. why stop them. It will cost us the fans some years, but there is nothing you can do about it.

The club has been a circus for years and it's not changing for good. The results are on the pitch. Every possible humilation has already happend in the past years - only relegation is left and we are on target so far..

I blame Vecchi. Sack him now and put the under 12's coach in until we get someone else.

We don't need a tactician as a new coach but a shrink. Someone like Conte. We need a very good motivator because the players are no confidence with. They put shitty pants on every time when they go on the pitch, no matter the opposition. Yesterday's game was good example - Southampton is mediocre team but their players have confidence, motivation, wish to play and the things work good for them. From other side is our team - lack of self confidence, fear, no motivation and no will to win. The result is silly mistakes, stupid ricochets, loosing of all personal tackles and poor luck.

What you expectet with Rannochia Dambrosio and Nagatomo? It was still better then that ultra offensive shit from De Boer. And he had the best startes in the home game. Still, we soffred a lot, too much.

Hi

I'm a Southampton fan and I have a few observations from last night. Please don't be offended!

1) Congratulations to the few fans who bothered to go to the game - Respect.
2) I was genuinely saddened by how poor you were. The team had no heart or soul and only seemed to want to foul without the referee noticing.
3) Great goal-keeper. He's the only player you can be proud off.
4) I could not believe that the team did not come over and acknowledge your fans at the end - what a complete lack of respect for fans that love their team.

It's the last point that has made me write this post. I hope you are great again but sorry I am not optimistic. A club with your history does not deserve this.

By European standards we may be mediocre but at least we have pride - both players and fans. We may be mediocre but we have outplayed Inter twice. We may be mediocre but we don't make cheap fouls and elbow opponents in the face. We are also improving. So if we're mediocre, what does that make Inter?

BTW Virgil Van Dijk is excellent every week - a real star and a leader.

Saint, welcome and fair play to your team. I live in the UK and Southampton are a great club with great youth, I think Ward Prowse looked really good also, another young Southampton player.

Personally your ownership have been doing a great job. So far our chinese management hasn't had enough time to really judge but they were keen to invest, which is good, but they are really meddling with club affairs, which has been hugely negative this season. Their transfer strategy was the reason Mancini left, and they have also sacked FDB and have no idea who they want to replace him.

Your ownership and club organisation seems great at the minute though, maybe extra chinese funds will help propel yous to a top 4 club, hopefully they dont mess too much in club affairs because your scouting and ability to bring in a good manager has been really impressive!

Also, i dont like Virgil, watched he some when he was at celtic and he just seems like a prick. lol

they are great businessmen but when it comes to football they are extremely naif. they think they can simply buy their way to the top but still haven't realized that the world of football is full of people more than ready to take advantage of them, first and foremost their privileged "advisor", kia jorabchian or whatever that crook is called. i guess it will take a couple of years of being fucked by pretty much everyone before they become a bit smarter.
