Melo just said in an interview that our preseason was awful because the team spent more time travelling than actually training and that with Mancini we would have got a CL spot. Now, I agree with the first point and the second point is something else completely which no one can never know.

Mancini with his usual transfer style is being linked to Ibrahimovic, Andre Silva, Fazio, Balotelli, etc... I think he will find it much harder to attract such players to a club in Russia.

But I am happy that Mancini has just raised the price of Andre Silva by a few million for Milan

Report: Mancini could leave Zenit

Roberto Mancini is being linked with a shock resignation from Zenit St Petersburg, just two months into his reign.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Mancini finds himself “in crisis” with Zenit.

The newspaper explains it is because of the club’s failure to sign Valencia defender Aymen Abdennour, who ultimately joined Olympique Marseille.

Consequently, the former Inter and Manchester City boss would be thinking about stepping down.

Zenit are top of the Russian Premier League after eight games and no defeats but have yet to sign a partner for new boy Emanuel Mammana in central defence.

He's not going to resign just because some dude from Valencia didn't want to join Zenit. But it's probably him or someone acting on his behalf leaking this sort of stuff to the media, as some sort of a warning, "do what I want, or else..."
