Well that s not a problem in any coutry with a decent health care system! Also watch them not giving a patent for this and see how all pharma companies will stop puring in money into their research.

I can't remember the exact fact but something like 65% of studies published in journals are unreplicatable.

perhaps the study you read was of psychology? I know for a fact medical studies are much much more different, in fact, with newer developments the results not only do they become replicable but even better ie outcomes for patients, response rates etc

I had this discussion with my professor. There is a trade off between free flow of knowledge and generating it, the free rider problem.

I think people are fucking retarded and if they let markets work we would cure cancers and lower costs pretty fucking soon. Also, if someone fucking cures cancer, don't they deserve to be made fucking trillionaires and fucking make a statue of them in every city on earth? Fuck, i hate people and their fake "solidarity" combined with their illeteracy on why things cost what they cost.

Back to the car-t thing, usually i am highly skeptical on these new "cures" for cancer, but this thing along with the immunotherapy seems legit.

just read of IAG's alleged bid on Norway Airlines, could be interesting. Seems like a great fit tbh

Well your right if sombody finds a cure for cancer he should get riches. Fact is it did not work out like this for the inventor of penicilin i know he did not know it s true potential which might be why he did not patent it but fact is he did not become rich despite inventing a medicin that saved millions!

And sadly imho free markets would not function without patents, it s sad but why invest millions into research when your competition is allowed to copy you at probably less than a promill of your costs?
Or lets say it this way pharma companies are controlled by stockholders and not by philantropists their not gonna be ok with a loss even if it means that the companie saved millions of lives. I mean look at stock prices of pharma concerns once they get a new patent for a new drug aprooved or dissmissed it s usually a huge gain or a huge bust on the day the news brakes.

Let me put it like that if you know that when you study for a test you ll get a good grade but the whole class will copy from you and get the same grade without studying are you still gonna study?

No, I was actually talking about things like the Nature journal. Granted, I dont know if many/any medical publications go there, but that's at the least physical science.

What did i tell you fuckers, chipotle will be paying dividents *figuratively speaking*

That stock needs to do at least a 10 to 1 split.

My friend got in at $250 and I didn’t listen last year :( love Chipotle but need to give dividends if it is a risky stock like that plus with all their health issues.

Jumping up 25% because of a new ceo is crazy.... did they hire a cloned Steve Jobs?

you haven't been paying attention my guy. I told you, chipotle's perceived problem was a noob ceo who had 0 idea about sourcing pr how to run a big company, like almost every founder. Insert ex taco-bell CEO and you got the best of two worlds. Chipotle has a great business model and it can be modified very easily to be even better. You should check their financials as well, imo its still undervalued.

Yea man but people getting crazy sick from eating your food is not good for a restaurant chain. A noob CEO or the 2nd coming of Steve Jobs can’t change that

they got sick because of the sourcing problem, which the founder had no idea how to do at that scale. You take that out, and you have a strong growth company which is already big and could potentially be the biggest fast food chain :D

interesting read

Seriously?

Didn’t hear that.

Would Disney be a good option. They own ESpn and soon Fox sports.

If they add betting to their sites they can make a killing.

Both have huge fantasy sports systems in their sites

Perhaps give a look to UK bookmakers, they have jumped like 10% in stock.

I never thought of that tbh, I mean of Disney and fantasy league. I forgot that market is so different in US.

What are the prospects of any bookmakers from Las Vegas making moves, or which one has best online platform to scale? I know jack shit about the Las Vegas bookmakers

I think they let individual states decide whether they want gambling or not. I don't think it was an outright legalization.

IIRC in summer in US people were saying how Nevada lobbies for them to be the sole state that allows gambling, I would assume that the states would want the extra $$ by the hefty taxes on gamblers

I told you, it was absurd how lowly it was priced just because of a noob ceo, even with him revenue/profit was growing at a great pace, DESPITE that they almost killed people lol. Literally it took just one word from new ceo "there will be changes" and market sky rocketted, if it returns to pre poisoning hype i see it hitting $600 easily. Just wait till they announce new menu items and this fucking thing will fly.

A good stock for the long run, look at Alphabet and Nvidia, basically Waymo is head and shoulders above everyone else in self driving cars, and Nvidia is basically a near monopoly in AI, crypto mining, deep learning.

In other news, BHP is at a year high and are about to dispose of their us shale assets which could generate $16b in cash, which is pretty fucking interesting. Taking into account that they have best margins in iron and are one of the largest copper producers(which is one of the things that excites me most, read here https://www.ft.com/content/9dea89fc-ba39-11e7-9bfb-4a9c83ffa852, and bhp has plenty of it), will be very very exciting for future.

Another stock i've been watching is greggs (uk breakfast/lunch chain), down 20% in a day, though it doesn't excite me long term.
