This is the initial list, it gets cut in a 23 one.

Crzd that looks great but Messi and Dyabla both struggle to play together.

The reason i mentioned the players to not be called is they are part of the previous teams that have won shit, Di maria is nowhere to be found when its time to step up.

That's true of Higuain, but Mascherano absolutely is there to step it up. He was by far their best player in the last World Cup, even though Messi got the award at the end. He's their leader and the player that pushes them.

Di Maria got injured against Belgium so he wasn't there to play because of injury, but he's usually stepped it up for them. You could argue more that Aguero shouldn't go rather than Di Maria as I don't remember Aguero ever doing anything for Argentina, could be wrong though.

You can add Aguero to that list as well.

I think this will probably happen in the next WC though where all these players will prob be done with the NT.

They all quit after last Copa America it was the 3rd final in a row they had lost.

As expected, both Icardi and Martinez are out.

On top of not having as much quality as they traditionally do, they’ve been completely dysfunctional, from management to team unity and infighting seemingly for almost a decade now.

France made that mistake with Benzema, Belgium with Nainggolan, Argentina with Icardi. If Icardi is kept out for footballing reasons, that's understandable. But that's not why it happens.

Honestly, if you can't be a fucking professional for a month/4 years, and put your personal feelings aside, then you're inevitably going to fail.

Armani is god like but somehow behind Romero and shitty Willy.

Argentina fails because of Messi wanting his friends to play

Two back ups that next play for their clubs when they have so many starters in other leagues it blows my mind. Why didn’t they call Rulli?

The day Inter stopped Messi with Argentinian players, such as JZ and Cambiaso, It was the day when argentina didnt even call up the bedst CL team and players " the bedst defence you could find, was the day I lost respect to Argentina.
With the players " attacks and a solid defence would Have made Argentina the bedst balanced team.
Just remember how JZ and Cambiaso stopped Messi 100 of times as his tricks didnt work.

I am convinced there's a contest in Argentina to crown the dumbest man in the country which gives the winner a shot at coaching the NT. There's no other explanation for their masochism when it comes to international football. Do you remember when we (Inter) had both Samuel (regular starter) and Burdisso (reserve) and they (Argentina) favoured the latter? ahahah...

Their attacking options are Messi, Messi's stuntman, the "Batman & Robin" of international chokers and a couple of wingers... Once again, they enter the WC with one single plan, the same that has failed miserably in the last 10 years or so: feed the ball to Messi and pray he saves the day.

Samp is a great coach!! What he did with Sevilla and Chile was incredible. Problem is there is a black hand in Argentina that wants to win With X and Y players and won’t let them play the best 11

This is why they won’t win any silverware.

That and their GKs and defenders are probably the most over rated on earth

Tbh Icardi played 10 games for Argentina and didn't get a single goal. I'm happy that he's going to rest this summer considering the big season we have coming up, you guys should too.

Four international caps, one goal. Sort of.
Only once did he start and finish the game, in a 0-0 vs Uruguay. On his other start he played in a 1-1 vs Venezuela and he played 70-75 minutes. He played 7 minutes and 15 minutes in his other appearances.

His only chance was at 4:22. He was always closed down by at least 2 defenders and he rarely got the ball. Just watch how he escapes them. That's a Godin-Gimenez defence btw.

For some reason they've given him an assist here. Goal is at 2:50. I think they both hit it at the same time. He also had a penalty not called on him. Of course Messi would have taken it.
