its funny, how most of the hardcore fans would go throught all kinds of girls (looks and personality) but will never change the club...

i dont want to make it all about myself as i am sure i love the club as much as the next guy thats gonna write here, but i just find it very interesting, how can one dump a girl for another one with bigger tits, but love Inter when you actually can choose from teams like Barca, Bayern, Chelsea, City, PSG, Real, etc...

master thesis for someone in psychology, do it! :D

Easy, the society says it's okay to go from a girl to another girl but it's not okey to go from a club to another.

I used all my gloryhunter mojo on finding myself the perfect girl, that's why I have a great girlfriend and I endure the god awful Inter games every game.

Although every man believes that his decisions and resolutions involve the most multifarious factors, in reality they are mere oscillation between flight and longing.

Exactly. I have been supporting Inter for more than 20 years. There were some good times, and there were some bad times, but the amount of love remained the same.

Hard times make the good times sweeter?

I just focus on the good things. Which is basically our younger talents which give me hope for the future. If it wasn't for that I'd be very close to giving up for a while. Hence why I hate Mazzarri with a passion.

I would never change allegiances or something though. Just lose passion for watching our side/football in general

Younger talents

Why we love a club and not another one is probably a question without an answer.

What it is normal in countries where there's a lack of competitive football clubs, is that most people share their love between two clubs, a local club and a big club. For example where I live, most football fans love Brann (which is a pretty shitty team, even for Norwegian standards) and they also LOVE a big European club, most likely an English one (Liverpool, Manchester Utd., and so on).

I genuinely wish I had it in me to just switch clubs like a tourist. Save myself a lot of nerves.

Hahaha! True!

But when success arrives, it feels way better!

I mean, being a Real Madrid, Rube or Barcelona fan means celebrating a lot. But I really doubt that for them winning any cup or a league title means the same as it would mean for us or any other fan of another club. In other words, booooooooring!

Barcelona is a newer phenomenon. I remember liking them ages ago when it was still not cool and it took years to create a winning team as well as having teams like Deportivo and Valencia fall on their faces. They were always a big club with their big moments, but the recent trend via UEFA's new rules and the ref help they get made them huge. The new generation is irritating of course but that applies to all these teams. The only ones that I've not seen turn sour despite the winning is Bayern.

Also, most people from the new generation don't even like teams but follow players. It's always been the case for many, but at least it was easier to stick with a team in the past. Now we have Cristiano and Messi fanboys, it's so annoying. When they leave, most of these people will stop caring about Real Madrid and Barcelona. And I doubt many people converted or turned to Man Utd due to Cristiano, the majority probably forgot they existed and went to claim support of Real Madrid.

Grew up and live in England (Manchester) but i absolutely despised the Premier league, it's fans, the media, how cocky the English are, hated it all.

My dad used to watch either Inter or Liverpool matches all the time (mostly Liverpool since moving to England) and so i started watching Inter matches 2006/07 season and grew to like them. It's so refreshing to not have to deal with the toxic BPL.

Anyways Inter will eventually get good again and it would've all been worth it :)

I've been a fan since early 2000s when I was around 10 y.o,my brother was a Juve fan and weve been competitive about it since day 1. 1 thing he taught me was to be loyal to the 1 team you chose and it's been implanted ever since. I guess I've never thought of choosing any other team, not even in other leagues.

I have been an Inter supporter since 1991. As I got older and with the development of technology such as the internet and Pay TV in Australia, I have been better able to follow them.

When I was single, I had very little else in my life. Inter were everything and poor results, especially against Milan and Juventus would fuck me off for the good part of a week. I have been very constant in my support for Inter as a club. Over the years, I witnessed alot of shit during games but I have always stuck by them.

I used to watch every game. Even recorded games that I knew we had lost I would still sit through and watch the game because that is what a supporter does. I think there are times that I did that to the detriment of my own psychological well being. For some reason, I used to think that suffering with my team is part of being a supporter.

Admittedly, the post treble years have been the most difficult for me. As you guys would know there have been times when Inter were horribly painful to watch. It may have started with Ranieri and was probably at its worst with Mazzarri. Accordingly, there were times when I stopped watching games but still followed our results.

It's funny I had so much optimism for this season but we have started so poorly. I recorded both of our games against Sassuolo and Torino but I have not watched them. I can't bring myself to do it because it will piss me off.

I do not think that I love or care for Inter less than I did many years ago. I think it is more to do with the fact that my life has changed. I have a wife and 10 month old baby girl. Why should I be rabid when the Shit Cunts that take to the field wearing our colours are so half-arsed? Or why should I be crazy for Inter when Spalletti keeps making the same mistakes when it comes to player selection and the starting eleven? Is one player, Nainggolan, really going to make that much of a difference to this Inter?

The truth be told, I would rather be spending that time with my wife and daughter than sitting in front of the TV cursing our players, our opponents or the referees. Not to mention the fact that the game for me does not end when I have turned off the TV. There have been times when my foul and snappy moods after a poor showing have ruined post match time with my family.

Right now, I feel indifference towards Inter. Before each game, I think about our opponents, who Spalletti might play and will be optimistic that we can get a result and kick start our season. But when I wake up in the morning and learn the results, I feel disappointed and glad that I did not wake up at or 3 or 4am to watch a Shit Show. I have kind of carried over this habit from last season. Or maybe it is simply the fact that I am an old bastard who values his sleep more than watching his shit football team.

We might be back in the Champions League this season and we might have a better team than last season but I am not convinced. I am not convinced because we still have the same psychological frailties and disjointedness that has plagued us throughout the post treble years. The only difference is the playing personnel and coach are different. In my view, the Champions League could well be the stage on which our shortcomings as a team will be exposed on a global scale and that thought does not sit well with me. Despite Spalletti having somewhat steadied the ship and Suning having found new investors, we seem more like past seasons than ever before.

Nicola Berti recently said that the players do not value the colours of the shirt they are wearing. I tend to agree with him and perhaps the saddest thing for me as an Inter supporter is that in many respects, the way I presently feel about the team and the way I am following them is a reflection of the way our players are performing on the field.
