Pazza Inter no more  After all this time i am used to stressful matches so i wasn't expecting anything less. At least we won. Now we're off to our cursed winter which is going to be our real test, as usual. If we manage to stay close to Juve in the next two months, we may have a chance to challenge Juve for the Scudetto.

I don't think its a coincidence that we have poor 2nd halves so many times. Its the lack of depth and injuries, the players start feeling the workload in the 2nd half and cannot keep up the high tempo of Conteball.

Anyways, a win is a win. Top of the table. Inter's best start to a Serie A season ever. Thats saying something.

Will take the points but it shouldn’t have been this tense, needed a clinical finish. Good reality check needed at this point in the season, it isn’t just coasting about - happy Lautaro scored, still HATE HATE HATE the way we concede shit goals. Defence needs to shore up because we definitely need some defensive chops for the coming games! Conte has a bit of organisation to do. FORZA INTER!

We managed some how to keep up with juBe and topping the table for now with half a team, but in order to maintain this form and good strings of results we'll badly need to open portals in which our superheros Sensi, Barella, Sanchez and perhaps Erickson, De Paul and Chiesa come forth from their destined dimensions and Conte stands with his shield and hammer and screams:"Avengers! Assemble!".

Only then we can defeat Thanos.

We are in the pressure cooker now.. our main midfielders are out injured, we are playing roma next and we have to win against barca to stay in ucl,, mehhh what are could go wrong.. :eek:blivious: Fuck it we are Inter!!!

Well I was gonna whack off before bed but I reckon that second half eradicated my ability to have an erection for about a week.

Do you guys think it's a coincidence we got back on top of the table when we finally unleashed our dynamic duo Vecino-Gagliardini in midfield? Yeah, me too.

Seriously, we certainly don't like it nice and easy, do we? Once again, we showed that we can only do well when we go full throttle as even the slightest drop in intensity (both mental and physical) can get us into trouble. We can't control the game for shit, and that's a problem that needs to be addressed as soon as possible. Anyway, we won, they didn't, we got back on top (despite Conte's advice). Let's just breath a sigh of relief and start focussing on the next game.

Lautaro was the MotM, not for the goals, but rather for the incredible work he's done. Once again, it felt like he was everywhere on the pitch, fighting and harassing SPAL's players but, more importantly, giving you the vibe that anything could happen every time he was on the ball. He's turning into a top-notch modern forward. Today I especially liked his header for the 2-0, which was clearly one of his weaknesses until recently. He should have buried that 1vs1 in the second half and put the game to bed, though. Lukaku was excellent today. He didn't get to score, but the work he did at the service of Lautaro (and the team in general) was great. His link up play was on point, he bullied his opponents quite regularly throughout the game (good thing he's started to realise how to use his physical prowess without getting a foul called against him), contributed to both goals, and provided a fantastic first-time assist that should silence those who still blabber about his lack of technique*.

The only midfielder who looked competent today was - surprise, surprise - Brozovic. The Croatian had a good game, engineering all our attacks in the first half, and putting on a solid defensive performance in the second. Considering the incompetence of the players that surround him at the moment, one could almost say he held the midfield together all by himself. Vecino had once again one of his trademark game: invisible and irrelevant for large chunks of it, with the occasional, almost random involvement in an offensive play that almost turn him into the hero of the day. Gagliardini, on the other hand, is the personification of the Italian saying vorrei ma non posso (= "I'd like, but I can't"). Every time I watch him play, I get the impression that he always knows what he's supposed to do, but just can't put it in practice. Borja was subbed in to slow down things a bit and did what was asked of him. I suspect he's going to play against Roma, so we need him at the top of his game.

The WBs were OK, I guess. Their first half was good, as they managed to beat their men quite comfortably and to put very interesting crosses into the box. Lazaro played well on the left flank, which was a bit of a surprise for me, while Candreva confirmed that he's actually a good player so long that he sticks to the game plan (and there's someone on the bench giving him one). The second half was tougher, of course, as we let Spal take control and crawl back into the game, but I'd say they held their own. Biraghi did his bit at the end, taking the place of a tired Lazaro.

As for the defence, the first half was a walk in the park, whereas the second was a bit more tricky. Skriniar let himself being dribbled past way too softly on their goal, but also had a vital clearance to his name. I think to goal we conceded still makes him the poorest of the three for this evening, even though I must admit that I didn't pick up who missed the ball between de Vrij and D'Ambrosio on that occasion that saw a SPAL player waste a glorious chance in front of Handanovic. The Slovene had no responsibility whatsoever on the goal and was solid whenever called into action. Godin was subbed on to shut the door against their final assault and carried out his task with the usual garra.

* Won't happen, though.

Er- a bit too much information there perhaps...

But OK, hopefully every guy on these boards will get his hard-on back in the morning.

Top of the table lads :notbad:

It probably won't last with Barella and most likely Sensi out longer term and their backups being utter shit but give credit where it's due. Conte has started as good as humanly possible as a manager. If we don't win the Scudetto with this guy during his tenure here, I'll be fucking shocked.

I don't think that second half vs. Spal was poor. They just woke up and started pressing instead to defend two goals down with 11 men like they did in the first half. It's normal that they created some chances but we also had enough opportunities to score and kill the game. Unfortunately wasted.

big win

as juve dropped pts it means if we do lose to roma it will not derail title challenge

that said if we can somehow win with deploted midfield i could see lazio beating juve and 4pts with conte and you really start to believe it could happen

that's true.. you also can't expect 90 minute dominating football after a hard CL game. The important thing was that we still had chances. And it's not the first time that we are missing easy chances, we have to improve on that.

I think even a 10 point advange on Juve would not make me sure that we will win the scudetto. But im also not pessimist and say that it's impossibile because we are really doing great till now. If we consider that Sensi Barella and Sanchez are missing, we can only get better. For now we have to survive till January, hope that no one get's injured, and hopefully get at last 2-3 new players.

It will be hard against Roma. Without the missing players we are really depending on Lukaku and Lautaro to make the diffrence. Vecino-Valero are doing not bad, but there is clearly a diffrence between this 2 players and Barella-Sensi. The perfomance of the team is still good, we still can controll games and are always playing to win even if conceding a litle bit too much some times. So im very happy considering the injuries we have but at the same time i can't expect too much. Vecino was terrible in the first games, i can't trust this guy even if he's decent at this moment (and even scored 2 important goals..)

Good thing is that we are playing another 2 games at home (normaly we had to play away against Roma but just now it happend that we have 2 games in a row). Generelly it's good that we have so much important home games already now and not next year, considering the injuries and the CL games. We could be in top form with the full squad when we have to play away against teams like Roma or Juve.

After the Barca game we have to play away against Fiore.. as long Montella is still there, we should win. But im not suprised if Fiorentina will fire him exactly next week.

ribery and chiesa could both be out so we could have a boost there
