Hmmm, we won't be getting SMS after all I guess, especially if we are to continue with 3-5-2 and with probable signing of Tonali.

Brozovic, Barella, Tonali, Sensi, Eriksen. There is definitely no space for SMS with the 3-5-2 and obviously mainly coz of his price tag. First off all, not a fan of back 5 & definitely miss a tall physique midfielder (SMS or similar player).

SMS would be coming before Tonali if it was possible. But this management won't splash 80m€+ for SMS. And probably Lotito would ask even more or would refuse to sell inside Italy completely (SMS is not pushing for the transfer to specific club).

Albeit I am a big fan of SMS, having tonali on top of sensi, barella, brozovic and eriksen is just stupid good. Hopefully we adopt a system where we can accommodate at least 4 of them, because that midfield is jizz worthy.

As someone living in France, I watch a lot of Lyon games and while I think Aouar is a better player than Fekir, I find him to lack consistency.

Like, he shines in big games against Paris on in CL, but in smaller games, he's nonchalent and sometimes really bad, like he doesn't give a shit.

Of course he's a talented player, young and he can grow, bu if he didn't in Lyon, a club famous for their youth growth, I don't know if he can elsewhere.

If we get Tonali and are planning to give Nainggolan another go, our midfield buying is done. We don't need anyone else, and we need to sell a couple (Mario & Vecino).

Yes please.

The latest is indeed that we could construct Tonali deal same way as Barella. Now it would be 5m€ for the loan, 35m€ for the redemption + bonuses up to 50m€. Guess at least part of the bonuses are tied to titles etc and not personal performances only.

Shouldn’t he have his own thread by now? I mean, Cellino, Ausilio and Di Marzio have all said that we’re interested in him, it’s not some weird ass rumor mill rubbish, it’s obvious negotiations are going on.

theres talk of a nainiggolan/zaniolo swap, lol.

It'd make us look really fucking Milan with that - but at the same time I'm happy to swallow our pride on it.

I dunno how, formationally, it'd work though. As I understand it Zaniolo is mainly AMC/AMR? Does this mean a formation change? Or backup for Eriksen

With Eriksen and Sensi, surely we don't have any place in our team for young Zaniolo? We need to stop looking at more midfielders, and start focusing on quality fullbacks/wingbacks.

The rumour is from La Repubblica. We reportedly offered cash plus Nainggolan for Zaniolo while Juve offered cash plus Bernardeschi and Romero. Both offers were rejected but the response could be different if the sum is around 70-80m. It sounds bs to me and more as an invitation from Roma to potential buyers than an actual interest from Inter. What would we do with Zaniolo? He has no position in our formation and even if we swapped to a formation with an AM he would just be Eriksen sub. It makes no sense.

Zaniolo has (had) ACL torn. After such serious injury, for 70 - 80m? Stay away from him.

70-80m? Roma can dream. At the mo Tonali > Zaniolo, and Tonali is worth around 40m.

Zaniolo has shown much more than Tonali in Serie A. But like said, Zaniolo's problem is his ACL injury. Worst time to sell the player with ACL + COVID19.
