Makes sense, we are in the final sprint of the championship with some games left.

I expect this announcement will be officially made once the transfer window opens, despite Hakimi already finishing his season and leaving on vacation.

this club NEVER announces signings before they're official and registered with the Serie A. That registration cant happen until ths window opens, after the season ends.

This is literally a non-event. We all know the transfer is done, completed, and you'll probably even see posts about him having special dispensation to train with us, but we wont formally announce it until the contract is deposited.

Hmm, interesting question.

I'd guess the contract between Inter and Real is signed and agreed, just not actioned yet - and I would assume it can be unilaterally actioned by either party depositing said contract.

I dont know if the Fifa transfer matching system is only used during windows, or can be used outside of it:

also from a legal perspective, we probably just put into place a contract that says we will sign so and so on the next window, so the legal framework the transfer happens in is separate to the actual mechanics of transferring player registration. But that's just speculation

I read earlier that Italian football federation allows pre-contracts to be signed and deposited to them because of this unorthodox transfer window timing this year. I understood Hakimi signed the contract yesterday. He cannot be registered as Inter player yet but this binding pre-contract makes it as close as being official without being official. IMO it's not the same as the pre-contracts signed with free agents in the spring time when waiting for July, but I can be wrong. It is anyway done and dusted.

yeah, either way I'd assume this is done and dusted. Just remember, this club doesnt announce signings until we can register them as our player basically (from a Serie A perspective). Even with bosman signings and stuff we never really announce them until they day of - we hint at them and stuff but no public announcements generally.

That’s from an article from football Italia about Sanchez and Smalling coming back to united to play Europa league.
