The "chiesa at forward" experiment last season was a total shit show, so if that's pirlo's and paratici's idea, then perfect imo.

I'll be quite happy with a good 3-5 years of Inter dominance in serie A.

You'll need a younger squad to dominance over a longer time. Not 15 over 30years old players.

it's been 10 years..... since we have been decent haha

Want to lose this season and rebuild or win this and next season with who we have. Then spend money where needed.

Young, Kolarov, Padelli are gone end of the season. Maybe Handa

Ninja we want to leave

Players up for sale over 30
Ninja, Rano, Asamoah, Perisic

I do agree paying to have Godin leave was beyond stupid. When we keep Rano and then have Darmian now

I dont think that's Pirlo's idea. He want to play with 352 and he desperately need right attacking wing back. Danilo is shit and Kulusevski was also shit in that position. I actually think Chiesa is really what they need now.

Seeing Fio game with us, it also looks like Chiesa fit for wb because he tracks back a lot. I hope Juve dont get the deal through. Fuck, where do they get the money with all this Covid situation they can still get Kulusevski and Morata added with all those heavy salary midfielders?

The WB role is a compromise role of sorts. It isn't an ideal role that a young player aspires to. They may aspire for a winger or a FB role. WB works for 2 kinds of players.

1. Failed wingers - Those who are not good enough to be a proper winger, but have high workrate and are willing to put in a big shift. Young, Cuadrado, belong here.
2. Ultra attacking FBs - These are FBs who are really good at attacking. Hakimi, Alonso, a younger Kolarov, belong here.

Someone like Perisic doesn't want to be a WB since he still seems himself as a good winger who can play up front. He may compromise since no club at this point has come for him, but it cannot be his ideal role.

For Chiesa it's a different scenario. He is still young, and this is too early for him to make that compromise. For his own sake, he should be looking to play as a wide player in a 343 or 433 setup. And if he doesn't turn out to be a great winger, then he can make the compromise later in his career. But at this point, he may be throwing away a lot just to move to that lying, cheating club.

Not sure Pirlo is going to stick with 3-5-2 when Dybala returns. I believe it's more possible to switch to 3-4-3 to fit Dybala, Ronaldo and Morata in the starting lineup.

A vice Lukaku would have been nice in case he gets injured or fatigue kicks in. I don’t think Pinamonti can be that player even though he has the frame for a target man. Lautaro-Alexis isn’t the worst forward partnership if that’s what it comes down to but that’d be a lot of pressure on Toro to score goals as Alexis is more a playmaker/trequartista than forward these days.

Yeah. Wasting Chiesa's ability on the wing (WB) is a total waste. Gazzetta reports the price will be 10m + 10m + 35m (+5m bonus). Hahaha.

Chiesa isn't a big enough goal threat to be a true attacking winger/ wide forward imo. Of course it's still early and he could yet develop in that respect, but wingback makes use of his workrate, speed, and trickiness-- without carrying the burden of needing to score 10-20 goals per season consistently.

I will say though, if he makes that transition, I think it will be difficult for him to go back to being a wide-forward. Too much money for him regardless.

Our squad is too bloated. I m hoping for a flurry of transfer activity over the next 3 days.

With 6m in bonuses..then immediately loaned him back. How bonuses can be triggered when you’re player is loaned back to you ill never know, but anyways. This had to be some weird Marotta agreement similar to our impending purchase of Darmian.

The initial agreement included a 26m buyback clause for Juventus. Udinese simply decided to sell him for way much less.

Also Chiesa going to Juve for 2-year loan. 2m€ loan fee first year, 8m€ loan fee the second year. 40m€ option to buy after two years, and the option turns to obligation if certain conditions are met. Conditions are like if one of this triggers, obligation kicks in: Juve finishes top 4, Chiesa scores 10 goals + 10 assists, Chiesa plays in 60% of the matches (30 mins of the pitch counts as played match).

That is a fantastic deal financially for Juve. A bit of an overprice, but it's really negated by the conditions. They aren't getting hurt at all this or next season in the balance sheet, that's why they were able to pull this off without actually selling any big player. Only loans like Douglas Costa to Bayern, no loan fee but Bayern pays full salary.

I am pissed why can't we pull anything like this out of hour hats.

I honestly have no idea what Fiorentina are trying to do. They're selling Chiesa and they want to bring Callejon and Deulofeu. Where are they going to play them in Iachini's 3-5-2?
