Embarrassing response. It was a passive aggressive question and he should have told him to fuck off. But it's Capello, so he caved. He didn't hesitate to snap at the female reporter, as far as I understand. Hard to respect a guy like that.

Clearly, capello got a kick out of our elimination and out of being able to ask Conte that question.

That said, it was a legitimate question.

So far we've heard him say that the blame goes to:
1) VAR and the referee
2) Shakhtar changing their style for this game...................................
3) Plan B not being used because we don't want to showcase the big secret.......
4) Bad luck

At least he didn't blame the weather. Yet.

We've been so awfully critical tonight that we forgot to congratulate him for keeping a clean sheet in Europe!

Squad Depth
That's 4 games in UCL where he said the boys played well, we were just missing the goal. That's 4 games where Sanchez and Eriksen played such an insignificant amount of time that their player ratings were N/A. Eriksen and Sanchez have produced more goals than the entire squad combined. You can counter argue by saying they have played more than any other player and that is when the point is proven.

Difficult to think of a coach who has earned his 'shit in Europe' reputation more than this guy. Wow.

Anyway, what a colossal sporting failure this is going to be if we don't win the Scudetto this year. Incredible how quickly he has burned through that goodwill he'd built up with at least some of the fans (me included) last year.

I'll absolutely admit to being someone who thought that label was a bit overblown and unfair, being drawn from a still small-ish sample size when seeing other people parrot it, especially when it would come on the heels of a game where the team played decently well but the results were lacking.

But 0:0 in 180 minutes against Shakhtar just a few months after putting five past them? Being responsible for two of Real Madrid's three wins in this group? Gladbach put 10 goals past Shakhtar, and this team couldn't score one. Some of that was their 'keeper, but what the fuck? Maybe some of it is players choking in the biggest moment - this is nothing new with this club - but part of Conte's appointment was to bring a "winning mentality" here (for the sake of argument, just look the other away on Juve/Calciopoli matters). Evidently, that's been a failure. While I could've told everyone here that Gladbach weren't some podunk Pot 4 team but actually a team that could be a bother, that really didn't change what expectations were. We avoided one of the behemoth Pot 2 teams, and that should've mattered more than drawing the toughest Pot 4 team. Instead, we actually finished one point even worse than last season!

I mean, look, if you want to talk Scudetto, all I can say is that, aside from a few Coppa matches, we have no second half distractions. No Europe whatsoever. So, guess what? If there were already no excuses, there sure aren't any now. Juve and Napoli have European commitments, as does Milan. They might have real fixture congestion, increased risk of injury, need to use more squad depth, etc., while we're sitting and watching these games on television. There's a shame in that but there's nothing that can be changed about it now. Take full advantage of it. That's not a request, it's a flat out fucking demand.

Fuck it, I don't want Conte to win the Scudetto, it would make him get a pay rise to 15 mil a year, and still get eliminated in the CL group stage, plus playing a shity football.

Conte's not winning the Scudetto.

January is coming and we haven't gotten nearly enough points to overcome the eventual slump. Our objective is 4th place and I wouldn't be surprised to see us fighting for that spot come May.

He had options to implement three attackers formation in a win or die situation.. I still couldn’t believe he didn’t do it.

“I have nothing to answer.”

“I absolutely do not agree with you, do you even think before asking such questions?”

“Yes I have a plan B, but I won’t tell it to you becase if I do then we’re doomed.”

These type of comments make cunte deserved to be sacked imo irregardless CL outcome

His comments are hilarious, obviously.

But the more hilarious thing is, that he received this type of questions and criticisms. I mean, the situation we are in is so extreme that (thanks to Conte), press is having a field day with him, and hence, us.

So not only is tactically inept and inflexible, he is also mentally ill.

Long season ahead here people.

And after a win he will rant about "lack of protection from the club"
