yellow for Barella/Brozo against Torino and RG5 will be a starter against Sassuolo. Brilliant.

Vidal is not a better player at the moment tbh

Inter and 30+ players. Always the same story. Hopefully he will be back against Napoli. If only Sensi could stay fit. :palm:

Perhaps it's time for Conte to give some minutes here and there to Vecino. We may need him in the following matches.

I think its good that we are scheduling this surgery now, with the international break coming up. Lets get him fit for the final stretch.

This might be a good time for Sensi to show some fitness.

Smells like a Vecino header at the Allianz Stadium to win us the scudetto to me.

Yeah that is true. As for specific names, Conte mentioned Kolarov. That even if Kolarov doesn't play too much, his presence in the locker room is very important.

Haha I like how we spend 4.5 million a season on Kolvarov and Rano... that makes the coach who makes 20 million happy they are nice guys that are fun to be around. Don’t know why we are 100 million in the whole tho

Thanks for reminding us that Sensi is on our roster, honestly forgot about him totally.

Though I don't wish an injury to any of our players, at least we don't have to have the Eriksen/Vidal discussion. Instead we can worry about Gags, Vecino starting and "Where the hell is Sensi ?" Grande. The drive for the Scudetto is going to age me.

I think vidal gets the shit end of the stick due to his Juve past. I actually think he was a very smart signing. He hasn't performed too great lately but he was outstanding vs Juve a team we never usually beat, that plus his calmness has been very helpful to our pazza inter mentality. With that being said he seems a step off usually and I believe it's because he's been playing injured. Hopefully we can see the real vidal soon

What calmness? Dude talked himself into a red card 10 minutes into a crucial Champions League game and has given away 2 or 3 penalties.

He was impeccable against Juventus, but other than that, I think I can only pinpoint a substitution-appearence against Verona where he came in and made significant, positive contribution. Other than that, he's been dire to outright catastrophic, and it's pretty safe to assume that we'd still be in the Champions League if not for his mistakes. Futhermore he's only gone and gotten injured in the run-up to a key part of the Scudetto-deciding stretch, and there's not a whole lot telling me that he'll suddenly come back and be a key contributor to the squad after a major knee surgery.
That's what we've been paying 6.5 million a year for.

Along with Kolarov and to a lesser extent Young, he's proving to be exactly the kind of transfer we don't need - old, experienced, transfer-fee-less but ultimately quite expensive to have on our books. I'm glad Conte has changed his ways and replaced him with Eriksen, but it took way longer than it should, and stands as a testament as to why you don't give a coach (and especially someone as hard-headed and stubborn as Conte) control over the transfer market.
If there's any silver lining to Vidal's presence at Inter, it's that.

Like said, the experienced vets bring intangible stuff to the equation. Their contribution on the pitch might not be at the highest level, but their presence in the locker room is important. Like Conte has said.

If you're paying someone 6.5 million a year to be a good cheerleader, you're doing something wrong.

If we win the title, then Vidal's wage for this season would be worth it for those 2 matches -

- against Juve for that goal
- against Real where he caused us to drop out of CL so we could focus on the league
