Muriel is not an Atalanta player like Gagliardini or generelly any other player that played only for Atalanta or got decent only at Atalanta (like Zapata for example) Muriel was already good before joining them.

Transfer GuruIf we have any money to spend, I would prefer we first buy a proper LWB. Maybe Gosens. That will have the biggest impact on our starting XI quality, and this position should be priority for upgrade.
If we have money left over, I would prefer a midfielder over vice-Lukaku. Vidal ain't reliable anymore (lets see how he does when he comes back), while Sensi is never fit. So we don't have quality rotation for our 3 starting midfielders. For our 2 starting strikers, at least we have Sanchez. So I would rather spend 30m on Locatelli than Muriel.
If the above two issues are somehow sorted and in the unlikely event we still have money to spend, then Muriel could be a decent option for 30m. But there are also rumours that Belotti is forcing his way out of Torino this summer and could be available for as low as 35m. Between the two, I would prefer Belotti.

10 years of FIF30m€ for Muriel would be a horrible decision given our financial situation. Belotti any given day before Muriel. Younger and fits to the "vice-Lukaku" role much better. Obviously very unlikely given we have bigger needs elsewhere on the pitch and don't have that much funds.

Muriel is a massive upgrade on Sanchez and would be on 1/3rd the wages.
Belotti stats better than Muriel or he just Italian? At this point Muriel has to have an Italian passport he been here for over 10 seasons.
Again Belotti wouldn’t want to come here to play every 5 games. He could go to Lazio get paid less but have a lethal partnership with Immobile.

10 years of FIFIf we have enough for Aguero just go for Belotti. Amortization of Belotti is about half, as his contract runs out in 1 year (25m over 5 years = 5m+6m gross salary) vs 20m gross salary for Aguero. Save resource for a LWB.
Not that I say Belotti is better, but he is doing all the dirty work at Torino and much more suitable for us. Plus he is younger and less injury prone.

If Zlatan doesn't continue at Milan, Belotti would be perfect signing for them tbh. If Zlatan continues, Inter might be better. Roma is another one where he'd get to be a first striker.
It's all about his motivation. I'd take him with open arms if the price is right.

Best Overall PosterWould it really be though? At Inter Belotti would have to fight with Lukaku, Lautaro and Alexis for two positions. On the other hand, at Milan there could only be a 40-year old Ibra, who missed many matches this season, ahead of him. The only reason i can see Belotti choosing Inter over other Serie A clubs is a better chance to win Scudetto.
