If Brozović is sold for decent money, Dani Ceballos could be purchased for around 25mil. That's a good enough price, he is still owned by Real and playing for Serie A champions >>> Arsenal.

Come on man. Ceballos is even worse than Xhaka for Arsenal this season. I watched him against Benfica and he was utter shit. I would take him as a bench option on a free loan if we can't afford anyone better but he shouldn't be a Brozovic replacement under any circumstances.

Look, I'm just looking at players that could be cheap enough for Inter, but also not shit. He's just one of the players I'd look into. Obviously my dream options would be Casemiro or Neves, but both would cost a lot more than we could get for Brozo.
Locatelli obviously can be a player that can have different roles, from a DLP to B2B.

But first, let's talk about sales. This is all hypothetical -

*Vidal is staying, but because of that one of Sensi or Vecino will go, if not both.
*Sanchez also is staying unless if he can be included for a player we want.
*I believe Eriksen is staying, he's our main LCM at least for the next season.
*Barella is untouchable, also none of the rich clubs need a player like him, not PSG, not City, not United, not Real.
*I've heard rumours about Brozović leaving, but I am wondering who is enquiring. Maybe Atletico?
*Gagliardini isn't moving anywhere. Conte has to work on his aggresiveness.
*Kolarov to Red Star, Young to Watford - so DiMarco coming back and a bench option for Bastoni?
*Our starting CBs staying.

Zinho will prob be rotated in as a CB, along with DiMarco if Perisic is starting more.

Di Marco one of our only players who has an actual buyer though and who isn't a starter in our team. We might have to sell?

If we sold Brozovic, Locatelli would certainly be a target. Another option could be Kante. We know how much Conte loves him. Though i doubt Chelsea would be willing to sell him.

As for departures, Young and Kolarov will certainly leave. As for the rest, the only other player who seems to have a serious interest from another club is Vidal but it's rumoured he has already rejected Marseille and he wants to stay. A good Euro from one of our players who are on the market could change the situation.

There's a lot of talk about Inter having set 4 targets (plus 1) in the transfer market:

-CB: Vanheusden will probably return but apart from him there are no serious rumours about other cbs. The only cb we have been linked with is Maksimovic and even rumours about him have died down recently. I think his fate depends on Ranocchia. If Ranocchia leaves, we will make a move for Maksimovic else we won't get another cb.

-Left wingback: We will certainly add one with Young set to leave but i don't think we should have high expectations. Probably someone like Dimarco or Emerson. Gosens or Kostic would be great but i don't think we can afford them without a big sale.

-Midfielder: There's a lot of discussion about signing another midfielder, with De Paul and Wijnaldum being the main targets, but unless we sell at least 2 of Brozovic, Eriksen, Sensi, Vidal and Vecino i can't see it happening. We simply don't have the money. I don't think there's a chance of Gagliardini leaving in the summer. Conte likes him and he has a low salary so he will probably stay.

Backup forward: The targets in attack are the usual suspects. Dzeko and Giroud. I can't see Inter signing one of them without offloading Sanchez.

plus

-GK: There are lots of rumours about a new GK but unless it's a swap deal involving Radu i can't see it happening this summer.

Anyway, let's see first if Conte stays and then we could have a more clear picture about next season squad.

Reading the interview of De Boer, a weird idea hit my brain. Could we sell Lautaro and get Depay instead for free? This will be typical Marotta's move.

Would be tough to replace Lautaro’s workrate though. We would essentially have two Lukaku’s up front just waiting for us to win the ball back.

I know it’s probably out of our price range but I would love us to make another big splash in midfield. Someone like Aouar, Locatelli or Ndidi. Different players for sure but I think one of them would move the needle in different ways.

I’m fine with Dimarco for our LWB position, I think he would surprise a lot of people under Conte in a better team. I also think Perisic has another year in him there. Kostic would be awesome, I’m less sold on Gosens just because Atalanta players have been pretty hit and miss after transfers. He also seems like more of a finisher, someone more comfortable in possession on the side would be nice since Hakimi isn’t really adept at that either.

If Eriksen were to be sold I'd love it if we could replace him with Verratti.

Verratti is a great player, but mentality is suspect. Years of dominance in the league haven't helped.

If we had the money to buy a worldclass midfielder it should be SMS.

Yeah good post. Kostic could be available if Frankfurt misses CL, we approach him and he'd want to leave for CL club? He has 2 years left of his contract. Could be still too expensive.

Dimarco is an interesting player because recently Juric has used him as LCB also. Would be versatile player if he can play that role too time to time. Though I'd say given his height, wouldn't count on him too much. But a bit like Darmian played as LCB, he could be fine in certain games.

Midfield acquisition depends a lot on how many players we can get rid of there. Vecino needs to go, but then the loan players too like Radja and Joao Mario.

Nah. Frankfurt will definitely qualify in CL. They have pretty easy schedule. One of Wolfsburg and Dortmund will miss out.

But it doesn't really change anything about Frankfurt transfer policy. Every Frankfurt player is available at the right price and this is their last chance to sell Kostic for big money as he turns 29 this year and he has only 2 years left in his contract. They had no issues selling their entire front line in a single summer. The problem is i can't see them accepting less than 25-30m and i don't think we can afford spending as much.

Yeah I kind of agree but the dynamic changes when you get to the Champions League. They didn't enter the CL when they sold their frontline. They will surely try to offer him a new contract if they make it to the CL.

Our chance is there if they don't make it to the CL and they will need to make some money (COVID era) by player sales.

I don't think it's mentality that is the problem, he was clearly doing everything to give PSG a fighting chance but other players were frustrating, especially Di Maria, who had two great chances to score.

I'm just happy Verratti is in PSG, and not in Juve or Barca.

Don't have one.
Messagero linking us to sms again, calling it a scudetto gift for conte. :D

Apparently marotta already in contact with his agent. I mean based on rumors over the years he is in contact with him for five years at least. :D

Messagero is very close to Lotito. This is Lazio way of saying SMS is on the market.

I have already expressed my opinion about a potential move for SMS at another thread.

Marotta was a big fan of SMS since he still was at Juventus so i don't think it's connected with Conte who would obviously be thrilled with Lazio midfielder.

Milinkovic would be a terrific addition to our midfield but as things stand we can't afford him. We would need a big sale in order to fund a move for him. And not even of someone like Brozovic or Eriksen but of one the players who can bring big bucks to the club. Lukaku, Lautaro, Hakimi, Barella or one of the cbs. Is SMS worth losing one of them? Imo no.

Scudetto and CL quali prize money are reportedly ~60mil, plus finally additional 25mil transfer fee for Politano from Napoli.
We should be able to sign at least one top player. :)

That's going straight to cover our losses, and won't even fully cover them
