If we're switching to back 4, this would be the best deal to pay off debt. It sucks but it was foreseeable.

If we don't get those 80m cash for Hakimi then it's confirmed that we are really the worst team in selling players. I mean just look at the numbers: we bought him just a season ago for 40m, he is still 22 but among the top 5 RB in the world, still has 4 year contract with us, a very unique type of fullback due to his prolificacy- 17 goals and 23 assists in 2 seasons (Dortmund inclusive), I can't remember any fullback with such numbers in only 2 consecutive seasons, 2 different clubs and different leagues among the top 5 since I started watching football, and I repeat, all this at the of just 22. Yet we are struggling to get 80m for him given these circumstances.
Leicester sold Maguireshit for fucking £80m at the age of 26 with 3 years contract remaining and he was nothing and did nothing special before that move, Southampton sold 26 year old van dijk for £75m with 3years contract remaining, 23years old Lucas Hernandez transferred to Bayern Munich from Atletico for 80m euros with 1or 2 years contract remaining but we can't get 80meuros for Hakimi, all this cases are not up to Hakimi's level. There are tons of other cases which I can list.
It fucking annoys me, sometimes I wonder how players are valued in football, or don't they look around and see other cases. I swear if it was Dortmund or any of those small selling teams, they would get atleast 80m plus bonuses for Hakimi in a swift and without being lowballed.

The "small" detail here is we need to sell him before the end of this month to get the capital gains for this fiscal year.

It's fucking very simple. The simple old rule of capitalism : supply and demand. You need a strong demand to milk the shit of a price!
I remember very well. Liverpool is my second team (like Pajo with Atletico). Klopp wanted van Djik and only van Dijk. When he couldn't obtain him in the summer with all the rage on that time, he preffer to play in PL and CL with Matip and fucking Klavan. He waited half a year with a shit defense for his van Dijk. The Liverpool supporters were nuts! For fucking sake, there is only van Dijk in this world?
Man United were also retarded fixed on Maguire. Leicester didn't need to sell, so they milk every penny. This is the price, otherwise fuck off!

We don't have this luxury! If a bomb offer for Lukaku, Lautaro or Skrniar don't pop up and that pretty fast, we may not have too much leverage.

You guys remember when we rioted over that Vucinic-Guarin swap?

How the same shit isn’t happening over selling Hakimi after winning the Scudetto I’ll never know.

Because the ownership is different. They don't care what the fans say, they do what they have to do.

Because it doesn't involve Juventus this time. Now a Hakimi sale is seen as a necessary evil in order to survive. But if they were selling him to Juventus, the reaction would have been entirely different.

Again and again, because we fucking don't have money!
This team was on red ink before all the investements Conte required. Now with Covid, we are bleeding money. Plain and simple our bill (slary and amortisation) is too much for our revenues, at least we won the scudetto. Everything was not in vain.
But now we need to recalibrate.
Even without chinese restrictions, I could understand Zhang if he would say: I cannot write year after year 100m checks!

Why dont they do this necessary evil by selling Lautaro or Lukaku?

To whom? If there are no offers, it's hard to sell.

Honestly pleased that he's sold to a club like PSG, where he will hopefully somewhat fade into obscurity compared to the exposure of the Premier League.

Lol we have one player who can actually change the flow of the game when fed properly and we are getting rid of him. Still baffled why we can't sell Lukaku instead because from the sound of it seems like we need to sell more players even after selling Hakimi

Achraf Hakimi deal. PSG now set to improve their official bid to Inter - as expected - around €70m [add ons included] to complete the agreement, confirmed! Red circleBlue circle #PSG

Paris Saint-Germain have reached an agreement on personal terms with Hakimi on a five-years contract.

70m INCLUDING bonus. Terrible.

Basically we do not get any profit, use Hakan for free for 3 years and that's it.

PSG have oil money, need money or not for us, we should be demanding at least 100m for Hakimi, are we even testing their resolve?!

Losing Hakimi is a massive blow to this football club, you can't replace players like Hakimi they are literally irreplaceable special players.

Without Marotta we didn't even have Conte or Hakimi to begin with. Hakimi would not have come to play for a banter Inter and a mediocre coach.
