Barca are a hot mess right now. They have such absurd wages on their books, they’ve gone above the salary limit in La Liga and can’t even register new signings until they get rid of all the deadwood. And I don’t see loads of clubs lining up for Coutinho and his €14m a a year either

Until this week, I didn't even know La Liga had something of a "salary cap" - and I'm guessing it's not a salary cap in the way those things work in North America - but I'm guessing the reason I've never known about them is because not even Barcelona or Real Madrid tend to come close to exceeding it.

Simeone's contract was expiring in 2023, no? So they extended him for an extra year with presumably another pay increase, interesting.

I was hoping that his and Inzaghis current contracts expiring the same year was fate haha. Not that we can afford his wage anyway.
