This is going to go on for as long as he is at Roma. Might as well get used to it.

“You always talk about titles, we talk about the project and work. It would be easy to promise a title, but the reality is different,” Mourinho said.

“We talk about the project and about improving. You talk about titles, we talk about projects. The owners don’t want an isolated success, they want to get there and stay there, which is more difficult.

It’s easy to win and have no money to pay salaries, but we want to be sustainable and the club and I share the same view.”

Indeed he seems to have taken a subtle dig at Suning.
That's nice and all, Mou, and I'll love you forever, but until you actually win something at Roma, all this talk is just hot air. I'm happier having won the league in between banter periods, than I would have been if I were a Roma fan all this time.

Mou was at Inter for 2 seasons. Yes, he finished the "project" of getting the CL but that isn't still anything close to long term like he's talking now. As if what we did last season wasn't great because we're in financial difficulties but we were just fine after treble year when he just ditched us. Because of course he did so, he knew he couldn't do the same anymore so he just left the place, to not tarnish his own reputation.

talking about inter or not, jose mourinho has an undisputed numbers with us
neverthless, with all due respect to him, he is sacked from most of the clubs except inter
he should add to his titles "the SACKED one"

I can't wait to see Roma winning the new version of Intertoto only for Mourinho to hype it to the moon.

Florentino Perez calls Cristiano Ronaldo an idiot and Jose Mourinho abnormal in leaked audio from 2012

By Alan Feehely - 14 July 2021, 8:29

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez was left red-faced on Tuesday when audio from 2006 was leaked where he labelled Raul and Iker Casillas the two biggest frauds in the club’s history. A second strike has come on Wednesday according to Marca, leaked audio from 2012 in which Florentino labels Cristiano Ronaldo an idiot and Jose Mourinho abnormal.

“He’s crazy,” Florentino said of Cristiano. “This guy is an idiot, a sick man. You think this guy is normal but he’s not normal, otherwise he wouldn’t do all the things he does. The last nonsense he did, the whole world saw it. Why do you think he does that stupid thing?”

Cristiano Ronaldo

With regard to Mourinho, Florentino honed in on his relationship with super-agent Jorge Mendes. “Mendes doesn’t control [Cristiano], just like he doesn’t control Mourinho. Zero weight. These are guys with a serious ego, both spoiled, and they don’t see reality because they could both earn a lot more money if they were otherwise inclined.

“These two are abnormal, because we’re talking about a lot of money in respect to image rights. Also, with that face they have, that defiant way, that everyone dislikes them; if the publicity is the opposite, it’s the opposite!”

Jose Mourinho

Cristiano joined Madrid from Manchester United in the summer of 2009 and went on to spend nine productive years in the Spanish capital before joining Juventus in 2018. The Portuguese won four Ballon d’Or awards during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu as well as two La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues.

Mourinho’s stint at the club was shorter but not lacking incident. The Portuguese joined Madrid after leading Inter to a treble in 2010, staying in the Spanish capital until 2013. In that time he won three trophies; La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Supercopa de Espana, managing to break the dominance of Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering Barcelona team.

Hi guys.

Hoping this won't get buried in the current mess that is this club but we have some interesting news. We were contacted by an author writing a book on Mourinho. He wanted to add some fan opinions to his book and reached out to us directly.

This is an open invitation for anyone to share any stories or a bit about their feelings on Mourinho during his time at Inter. Let's please keep it fairly compact (don't want to inundate the guy with a hundred essays) and relevant to the following specific topics:

1. Most memorable moments

2. Any brief tactical analysis or interesting tactical tidbits, particularly regarding the biggest CL games

3. First opinions or expectations from Mourinho when he first joined Inter

4. Feelings towards him now after 10+ years

I'll go first:

1. When Milito scored against Chelsea at home. I was apprehensive as we'd previously exited the round of 16 three seasons in a row, failing to score even a single goal in the past five knockout games against Man Utd, Liverpool and Valencia. When Milito turned John Terry and buried it in the bottom corner just 3 minutes into the game, it felt like a curse had been lifted. I can not overstate the feelings of joy and relief in that moment.

2. Going to Stamford Bridge and deploying some hyper-attacking 4213 formation out of nowhere. Up until then, we'd mainly played the 4312, even in Europe so I wasn't expecting that at all. Also in the second leg against Barca, people like to mythologize Eto'o playing as LB etc. but to be completely fair, we played Chivu in Pandev's position so we started with 5 defenders on the pitch 😁

3. I expected a scudetto and to go further in the CL. Was bitterly disappointed with the way we exited against Man Utd in 08/09 and to be honest I wasn't expecting us to win it in 09/10. I don't think I truly believed that we could go far until we beat Chelsea.

4. Still fond of the guy - to an extent. I think, unfortunately, and given recent results, that he's guilty until proven innocent (in terms of being finished at the top level). Would I take him back? Almost certainly not if other options were available. I'm happy to leave those two glorious years in the past as one of my best memories.

1. Winning the Milan derby 0-4, my favourite game in treble season. I think it foreshadowed a great season and it turned out that way.

2. Probably how we managed to lose only 1-0 against Barcelona in the second leg in the semis having the most defensive game in history and reach the final lol.

3. Let's say I was proud that we managed to get a coach like him, but on the other hand not surprised-cause I trusted Moratti's ability to bring in just anyone. Moratti spoiled us in terms of personnel.

Expectations - I was sure we'll win Serie A for as long as he stays. Champions League or Treble-no, I didn't even think about it until it became a possibility.

4. Yeah still fond, but not sure I'd have him back in Inter. It's best to move on.

1. I have to agree with Glassbox regarding that 4-0 derby win. Maybe it was because I was watching it with my 3 loud mouthed Milan fan friends. I didn't even expect Sneijder to start as the deal was completed days before the match (CMIIW) but yea thats definitely my most memorable match during Mou's stint which is weird because I thought it'd be one of the CL's match.

2. Hated when he went super defensive mode against Barca in the second leg but I can appreciate how well we played defense then.

3. Expected him to win Scudetto right away, never expected him to win UCL with us. You are right, that adriano and zlatan miss were painful.

4. Still love him and rate him highly.

1. The CL win, 4-0 and 0-2 win against Milan, and 1-0 win against Juventus (in his first season) are my most memorable moments with Mourinho. That 1-0 against Juve, was tactically one of the most impressive performances I have ever watched from Inter.

2. I very much liked the way his Inter handled Chelsea in the second leg. Didn't think Inter could hold them back after the narrow 2-1 win in the first leg, but that second leg performance IMO was a turning point for the team to give them confidence in their CL's route.

3. I expected him to continue Mancini's domestic success at Inter while doing better in the CL. Never expected him to win the CL with Inter.

4. I'm very grateful for what he has achieved with Inter, but never was a fan of his style on and off the pitch and don't want him back here.

1. By far my two most memorable moments of the treble season were the two late wins, in Kiev and at home against Siena. The masterclass of Sneijder and Milito in the CL game made me realise that something had changed in our mentality and the team would go far in CL in that season. After the league win i was certain there was no chance we would lose Scudetto.

2. Same as you. The tactical masterclass of Mourinho in Stamford Bridge. Switching from 4-3-1-2 to 4-2-3-1 for the first time in an away CL KO game. It was a risky move by Mourinho but it was executed perfectly by the players.

There was another game in that CL campaign that Mourinho showed he was on top of his game. People always talk about the match in Camp Nou but the real masterclass of Mourinho was the home game against The Blaugrana. He managed to turn around a match against Barcelona by playing football. At that time you simply couldn't turn around a match against Guardiola's Barca. Most teams would have collapsed after 1-0. But instead Mourinho's Inter made a decisive step to go all the way in the tournament.

3. When Inter hired Mourinho i was expecting Serie A titles and much better CL campaigns but i didn't dare to dream a CL win.

4. I still love him and, as long as he doesn't join Juve or Milan, he will always be an Inter legend. Mourinho was right in his Roma first press conference. No one can be compared with Herrera and himself. There are Inter coaches who succeeded at Inter and then there are Herrera and Mourinho. I also don't think he's done as a top coach. He just made, and continues to do, poor choices that didn't fit him at all. That being said, i never want him back at Inter. Sequels usually are big disappointments so i want CL final in Madrid to be my last memory of Mourinho at Inter.
