Eaven if this boy would come for free I would hesitate to bring him in, let alone for 15-25 million + high salary!

Darmian was decent appointment and I was one of the few who supported that move with those conditions. But I fear this will be big failure if he comes here and another Joao Mario/Nainngolain and we will be stuck with him for years! I have a bad feeling about this!

Well right now we are only linked on a loan with option. So the main risk is sporting risk. He could be absolute garbage and we could struggle badly because of that but the chances of him hurting us like Joao Mario or Naingollan is slim.

Thats true and I think Marotta is only looking for a loan deals witch is good. But I just hate us wasting money and I would rather keep Lazaro with fraction of wages.

I just see so many red flags with this one injuries, bad stats, focus on fashion, high salary, maybe lack of motivation to fight for Arsenal…

But who knows maybe he will show me wrong if he comes here?

Luciano Moggi

Summary: can`t defend, 1 out of 5 crosses averge, seems that he became vegan and not fast any more. Blamed criticism for his poor performances (been ongoing for YEARS).

He will love being a fashion victim in Milano, that`s for sure!
Nice to see Jordan Pickford making a cameo at 2:37

I've seen a surprising amount of people here, in the whatsapp, and other places online, trying to defend, support or rationalize this Bellerin interest.

Yes, I know we're fucking broke. Yes, I'm aware it's "only" a loan.

None of that matters. It's as if you (referring to those who aren't against this deal) have somehow ignored the elephant in the room, which is that he is shit. He is simply a fucking mediocre as fuck player.

I couldn't care less how "risk-free" or temporary the deal might be. Nothing outweighs the sporting side and Bellerin doesn't cut it, even for cheap.

He is the definition of an overpriced EPL hack. Defensively garbage, offensively mediocre in the extreme, fast but lacking technique or brains. As others have mentioned, he's coming off YEARS of poor form and injuries which seem to have permanently reduced him.

Like vas said, I wouldn't take him for free. I can accept that we're broke, I can't accept us utterly wasting our scarce resources like this. We're better off keeping that money and giving fucking Lazaro another try, or getting some other average Serie A shitter on loan, like Bereszyński or Faraoni.

According to La Repubblica, there's an agreement between Inter and Bellerin for a 4-year contract earning him 3.5m net per season. He currently earns 5.7m net at Arsenal.

I'm not sure Arsenal wil llet him go for free. We won't offer anything, only a loan for 1 year without obligation.
What is the problem with Lazaro anyway

The arsenal fans I know are more than happy to see us take him off their hands. Not even that concerned about the financials

Seems like Bellerin is pushing for transfer and Arsenal is trying to get rid of him and there are no other team after him.

Arsenal will save almost 6m on wages. I bet only fear of Arsenal is that if it is just option we will send him back after the loan! Cause most probably a. He will suck b. he get injured again or c. both!

Same here. But who cares, if he comes as usual we will support the guy, but fingers crossed he can deliver.

The only reason I'm willing to give this a shot is because it sounds like this is an Inzaghi request. He never had much input on transfers at Lazio. Maybe he sees something that he believes he can work with within his system.

Otherwise, yes, a pathetic deal on all fronts.

I think inzagui shouldn’t get any transfers request or we’ll end with this pathetic average players.

I would give Lazaro the chance until January... then we’ll go from there.

That 5.7m is gross, not net (and it's probably in pounds).

Universe you should go and read my post in previous page. Take it easy with that ridiculous bashing before seeing a single game from Bellerin at Inter jersey. He's still from La Masia, came to Arsenal at the age of 16. So he's had quite a technical background and development environment. Hasn't gone as expected from him (was touted as big prospect back then) but that's why he's going out cheap now.

If Inzaghi rather wants this guy than Lazaro, then what can we say? That Inzaghi is completely wrong? With what credentials?

Il nuovo Schelotto jk

Although that one fan said he was in EPL team of the year at one point, so he might find his previous form, like Lukaku did, who was never shit, but was also widely disliked at the time iirc

@CafeCordoba I dono dude. I had a long post written out about his form at Arsenal and the finances but I'll just simplify by saying I actually have watched a good amount of him at Arsenal and I'm frankly not impressed (like the absolutely overwhelming amount of people who watched him at Arsenal). I don't see what's wrong about being against the transfer based on recent evidence.

Also, obviously I have no "credentials" to question Inzaghi if Bellerin is indeed his suggestion or has received his blessing, but isn't that the exact purpose of a fan forum lol. It's not like we can voice our opinions to Steve Zhang so we do it here amongst ourselves.

We became adjusted to the miraculous power of Conte to get great returns out of ordinary players like Moses and Darmian, but he's the exception to the rule. Plus, there have been uncountable amount of manager-requested signings who have ended up failures.

I simply do not like or condone buying players who have been demonstrably poor for years, and having to hope that "they'll do better this time!"

I'd rather take my chances with a tried and tested mediocre cheapo in the form of another Darmian, like Lazovic or something. Surely there's SOME Bereszynski, Stryger Larson (lol), Faraoni-level guy out there we can get on loan for significantly less than the rumored €3.5m. (Which is equal to Brozovic, more than Handanovic, Skriniar, Barella and Lautaro btw)

We are not going to buy Bellerin, that's not going to happen. If that happens, then it's surely a huge risk management is taking.

Where did you read this? I have actually read Inzaghi isn't fond of Bellerin and he prefers Dumfries and Hateboer. Granted, the report was from Corriere so it could be bs but i haven't read anywhere Bellerin is an Inzaghi request.

I didn't say anything about buying him. Even on a loan we'd be paying his wages, which would put him the top third of earners at the club. Even on a low-risk dry loan I don't think he's worth the wages.

Never rated the guy and he's much worse off now than during his hype years. But whatever, most replacements will fall short to what Hakimi brought into the team.
