Except we aren't getting an proven winner like Eto'o.

We are getting Zapata.
I mean after winning the treble

Changing coach is a big risk, shouldn't take the risk with such an offer

As long as the transfer fee goes into improving the squad, I am not against selling him.

For 130 million you need definately sell player who were 2 seasons ago worth 70 million and is now 28 years old.

With that money a good director can buy players who make the squad better now or near future. Next year Lukaku is 29 and if you want to sell him he is worth max 40-50 million. Thats the reality in transfer market.

Zapata is 30 and he is worth 40-50 mln apparently ;)

I would not take Zapata for that price but of course Atalanta tries to squeeze out everything they can if Inter is interested. IMO Marotta and Ausilio needs to do better than that. I would assume there are many great strikers with potential available. Not at Lukaku level but with potential to get there. Lautaro can be now first striker and Inter needs to get someone younger to pair him.

The only way for Suning to redeem themselves after this sell out is to invest money on Vlahovic + Gosens. That will probably be around half the money we got for Lukaku + Hakimi and lower wages, so its NOT an unreasonable ask.

What's the point in signing Gosens? Dimarco looks like he's on the cusp of a huge breakout campaign, and Perisic is unsellable/more than good enough to rotate with Dimarco.*

*Unsellable because of his high wages.

Meanwhile the season starts in less than two weeks and we still haven't signed a Hakimi replacement.

There is no way we get Gosens. That would require us to move Perisic which I just don’t see happening at this point. It seems we are fine with Perisic/Dimarco as the wingback duo. We haven’t been linked to Gosens at all.

More realistic would be Vlahovic and Dumfries, which appears to be our preferred targets. However, I think Vlahovic probably isn’t in the cards. Most likely we end up with something like Scamacca or Correa and Dzeko. I do think Dumfries will end up coming.

Maybe if you are right and Dimarco has a breakthrough as a LWB, we are ok. But I don't see it. Dimarco is an average LWB, good enough for back up. If we cannot sell Perisic, I would much rather sell Dimarco for 12m, and buy Gosens for 40m.

We need at least 1 top quality wingback, its a critical position for Inzaghi's formation to work, just like Conte's did with Hakimi. Gosens is the only top class wingback we have been linked to. Dumfries is good, but not at the same level (we should buy him too). We just sold Lukaku+Hakimi for 180m, surely investing some of it on a top quality player like Gosens isn't asking for too much?!
