Respectfully disagree. Sure, he could've said "no" that could've been that. But...Inter could've said "no" when Chelsea first offered in the first place. But they didn't say no, they said "keep talking". And I'm going to remain on that general POV that says "sure, [Rom] might've been happy to be here, but if his employer keeps soliciting offers to sell him, eventually he's going to say 'fuck you' and accept". You might love your job, but if your employer apparently looks at you more as €€€'s than as a player, you're probably going to eventually reconsider how much you really want to keep playing for them, you know?

Inter gave him every reason to accept a move.
No I think Lukaku really wanted to go!

1.He supports Chelsea and idolise to be like Drogba at Chelsea
2.He also can now show that he did not ”flop” at Premier league at ManU and Chelsea
3.Its was also financially no brainer to him cauce double salary
4.He has Scudetto in the pocket and have now a change to win PL and CL trophys
5.Conte left

Inter refused that first bid and I bet Lukaku told Marotta he wanted to go, so Chelsea had upper hand. But if Conte would still be here I think it would have been little harder decision for him? Now everybody won and it is awsome deal!

any who… I think we will hear the reasons soon like Pastorello told?

if he isn't LGI then who should it be? this guy won us a scudetto after 11 years, and probably the last scudetto for other 11 years. Who other should be in LGI, Rannochia? :yao: not that i care that much but based on the forums mentality no one ever will be in LGI, maybe in 50 years when we win the triplete again.

He didn't win us the Scudetto. He was PART of the team that won us the Scudetto. Football is a team sport and you can't simply credit a single player for a team's success.

Just like you can't blame single player for a team's failure (blaming Lukaku for CL exit, etc).

To be fair, from our current squad the one player who should definitely be LGI is Handanovic. He has been awesome for so many years.

Apart from that, if they stay here long and specially if we win another Scudetto, players like Bastoni, Skriniar, Barella, & Lautaro could also become LGI. Maybe even De Vrij & Brozovic, if they help us win another Scudetto (which is looking unlikely).

Lukaku I am on the fence about. If he had been here a bit longer, it would have been a no brainer. But still 64 goals in 2 years, a great example on and off the pitch, a true leader in the Scudetto win and the player of the year in Serie A.... I voted LGI. If its possible to become LGI in 2 years, then he is LGI.

Motta and Lucio have set the standard impossibly high, will be a long time before anyone can be introduced to LGI again.

Well he did better here than I expected, got his jersey at the end of last season in the grey stripes. La Grande for me since it’s an absolutely trash section in this forum.

The main positive of this deal is that I don’t have to see Brehme post whack hot takes anymore in the current players section.

I’m now getting ready to get angry if we don’t try and get Vlahovic 😠

I'm afraid the story will go on in the former players section.

I dont know where the narratives that Biasin is tier 1 come from. But I always find his news either offers nothing new or flat out wrong or just makes no sense in this case.

Who the fuck would be resistant to 12m/year and 115m? and Marotta of all people is disappointed of this? Dont fucking make me laugh. Other than the fans, I cant see anyone unhappy with this deal.
Biasin is the best insider for Inter stuff.
He is trusted to handle information and this is why it comes out as cryptic at times.

Di Marzio knows mostly what the management wants him to say to the world.

The difference is that Di Marzio gets more credibility with each rumour while Biasin isn't part of this game, he only talks Inter and has the club's best interest at heart, whilst also doing his job. Sometimes this will have conflicts so he either says nothing and just bursts out once in months or he'll just say a lot of nothing to keep things diplomatic.

If you only care about player destinations, Di Marzio is your guy, but for internal stuff for our club there's Biasin and then there's everyone else.

Ok, now I understand why I always feel that way about Biasin.

What Biasin reports is what the club WANTS him to say, not what actually happened.

Clubs don’t let reporters to get close if they can’t control them. Internal conflicts and shady stuffs happen all the time, and the last thing they need is a reporter who knows too much yet can’t control their mouth. That’s why most of time, his reports sound non sensical. They don’t need to make sense, they need to create the narrative the club want.

Di Marzio on the other hand is harder to manipulate. He has a reputation to uphold and a broader network to cross check the info. You can’t feed him the false information when he can easily cross check it with agents or executives from the other side of the deal.

Thanks anyway, Biasin added to the ignore list.
