Though Di Marzio is not saying there is a clause to extend. He's saying there should be a clause to extend.

Could be something Pogba had with United. That the club can activate it, and United did it before Pogba could walk away / negotiate with other clubs.

I think we rather negotiate for a real extension and not just one additional so we rather have not activated it yet. Only if it looks it goes past New Year, then we activate it? (just as a precaution).

We had something similar for D'Ambrosio. We couldn't find an agreement with his agent as he was asking for a 2-year contract so we just triggered the option to extend his contract.

Just give gim the money he wants, he's our fucking engine, look at him pressing high the pitch before returning back. He's all over the pitch.

edit: he's unhappy about these changes by inzaghi, you can tell. he didnt even greet anyone on his way out, we're fucked. I agree that he was out of position many times tonight pressing the opposition CB's, but we'll never know if that was an instruction by master inzaghi or he was losing his mind. I repeat, he's the engine of this team, we all saw how this team behaved in the second half. He can take the ball, distribute it, dribble. Now look at Vecino.

Yeah makes sense. I don't think that option were reported anywhere either.

But it makes sense IMO that there is such option because the club has been so quiet with the extension. It's not Marotta-esque to let asset like Brozovic walk away for nothing.

I don't he think Marotta considers Brozo an asset.

I don't remember Lucas Leivia running around headlessly like this. He's DLP/Holding mid, he should hold his position at all times, not run around pressing the keeper. Smh.

It's about the instructions. Under Spalletti he stayed strictly a front of the defense but now he has the freedom to run like headless chicken around. Not his fault though.

Like I said, I don't remember Lucas Leivia doing this for Lazio.

Whatever Locatelli was doing to "shield" the defence is what we need from Brozovic (when we're not chasing the game). I have no idea why Brozovic is so high up the pitch pressing defenders and goalkeepers smh.

Yeah that's been our thing for 2 years. But I'd really like us to sign a proper defensive midfielder for once. Just to have different kind of option. Gagliardini doesn't apply to this.

Basically the 3 CBs make it possible that Brozo can press high up the pitch since one of the CBs then follow the forward if he drops to the empty space in front of the defence.

You can see how much Anguissa has changed the Napoli midfield and he’s a guy who was at Fulham/Villarreal. Idrissa Gueye was one of the best players for PSG against City. He is 32 and just made the move last year, he was admittedly at a slightly bigger club in Everton. However it just goes to show how much that type of player is necessary in football now. Even if he’s not of the highest quality the job has to be done by someone in midfield. We have missed that type of player since Cambiasso. I like Brozovic but no one else is winning with that type of player at the base of their midfield.

Yeah good shout. Anguissa has been perhaps the best signing in Serie A so far. We definitely should go for similar type of player and indeed look for the market because there are opportunities as shown by Napoli and PSG.

Inter eye Brozovic contract talks, as Manchester United and Tottenham prowl

Inter are eyeing new contract talks with Marcelo Brozovic, with Manchester United, Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain interested in the midfielder.

This comes from La Gazzetta dello Sport, who claim that an appointment between Inter and Brozovic’s representatives has been set for some time and it will happen after the upcoming international break. Inter though, know that they won’t find it easy to match the Croatian’s wage demand of €6 million per season.

The Zhang family believe that they can convince Brozovic to lower his demands but Paris Saint-Germain are already following the midfielder quite closely. The Premier League could also be a potential destination, with Manchester United and Spurs also keeping an eye on the situation.

He's the player Man Utd need to win the premiership/complete their squad tbh.

He best stay with us, we best pay him what he wants/deserves. I've just not seen a player like him, incredibly talented.
