Typical pre-elections talk. He doesn't want local Interisti and Milanisti against him. I will believe it when i see it.

Elected officials should have signing clauses that state if they don't fulfil campaign promises within x amount of time the contract is void 😂

not really their fault if the other people who are also elected are cck blockers

I mean the stadium would be cool but with covid I don’t know if it’s the game charger it would have been a couple seasons ago.

If he's saying it'll "definitely go ahead" he needs to be able to back that up. An acceptable campaign promise would probably be: "I will do everything in my power"

Sala talked again about the stadium project. He said if they win (elections in October) the project will definitely go ahead. Just need to find co-financiers to the project. But he said it's not going to stop anymore but it's going ahead.
Another 15 years and 187 pages later and we’ll still be getting these kinds of reports.

In today's Covid climate, and knowing what we know from what came to pass in the Summer in relation to our finances and the looming amount owed to Oaktree, I find it comical that there is talk about a stadium project.

This thread should be closed. It is a running joke.

If so I would be overjoyed, it was the classiest and most unique choice. The iconic meazza must be replaced with something also iconic and not generic.
as an architect i couldn't agree more...
but we have to take back our logo

Milan Mayor Beppe Sala: “New San Siro A Huge Issue, Ready To Meet With Inter & AC Milan”

Newly re-elected Milan mayor Beppe Sala has stated that now that the elections in the city have concluded, he is ready to get back to work on the new San Siro.

Speaking in a press conference, as reported by fanpage.it, the mayor explained that he had paused the project while the election campaign was in progress due to the transition from one city council to another, but now is ready to get things moving once again.

The new stadium in Milan is set to be a massive undertaking, and there is still some way to go before construction can begin on a project which will see the modernization and increased revenues of the Nerazzurri and city rivals AC Milan.

However, the two clubs can expect to resume the project shortly, with Sala explaining that there are already contacts about getting back to work on the major new stadium in the city.

“I put the brakes on because there was an outgoing Council and the scope of the issue is huge,” Sala said of the new San Siro, adding that “the representatives of Inter and Milan have already WhatsApped me and I will be happy to meet them.”

You are implying Toro's new contract is some one-sided decision made by Inter management. I have news for you, it's not.

Or that it should been signed already in August just like this fucking stadium should've been done years ago.

Need help with Italian.

The article says Elliott's getting impatient and floating the idea of proceeding even without Inter for the following reasons.

1) perché il periodo di 99 anni di concessione prevista dal contratto garantisce il fatto che non ci sarà più sicuramente la famiglia Zhang nel controllo dell’Inter;
2) perché il fondo Elliott ha fatto sapere a palazzo Marino- in via riservata- che ci sono altri investitori privati pronti a far fronte alla parte che toccherebbe in capo all’Inter.

I can figure what 2) means: Eliiott informed the city council that there are other investors ready to come in and take Inter’s share of the investment.

But I have no idea what 1) means. Google translate says it means "The first is that the 99-year concession period provided for in the contract guarantees the fact that the Zhang family will no longer be in control of Inter." Huh?

Only way we’re getting a new stadium right now is if we load up PES 2020 and assign a new stadium as our home ground.
