@sdvroot the topic of this thread is Inter's financial situation. If you want to make posts about Newcastle new owners please do it in Premier League thread.

One can sense a kind of envy, these events are directly related to Inter's financial situation, unfortunately.

So there are new rumours of the Zhangs needing to raise a further 100 million with the sales of Martinez, Barella and Bastoni being talked about.

That's an implication made by the reporters (I assume the GdS ones) that we need t make these sales as it was reported by financial reporters from Sole 24 Ore / Calcio e finanza, that we'll still be making 100m€ losses this season. So let's throw these rumors out of the house for now as there is NO source for this kind of information.

Professor Simon Chadwick believes that Inter and Marseille could be the two clubs that PIF could buy to create a football model similar to that of Manchester City.

Dan Plumley was on Sky Sports UK today and said the same thing.

Interesting. There's a huge difference with City model though. Mansur owns clubs from different continents that are nowhere near as big as Man City. There's no comparison between New York City FC, Melbourne City FC or the team from Japan with Inter and Marseille.

If we all put in 10000 euro into an account and let billionaire @Pimpin manage it and turn it into stocks we could take over Inter in 5 years and change the stadium name to FIF Stadium.

"will be ok"? Sorry, Suning's "ambitous" was already clear when they sold our only world-class player, at 22 years of age, for fucking 25m profit.

And people here are still excusing that was reasonable  They don't realize the type of deals we are making looks like crawling back to the Thohir-era.
The financial situation of the club forced the sale of a good player almost for nothing for his level. Either everything is so bad at the club, or really Thohir-era. Or maybe the management decided to compensate for their financial mistakes and sell the club along with the stadium for 1 billion - I think it costs more, but I could be wrong. 1.5 billion? :)

CorSera: Friction between Milan, Inter and City Council over San Siro rent

AC Milan and Inter may be set to clash with the council over the amount of rent they have to pay for San Siro after the Covid-19 period.

As reported by il Corriere della Sera, there is some friction about the amount that the two clubs owe to the Milan City Council for the rent of San Siro given the pandemic and the closure of the stadiums plus the loss of revenues the resulted.

Milan and Inter asked for a discount on the rent, and there is actually a section in the agreement signed 20 years ago which provides for it.

Article 5 of the document reads: “(…) the possible use restrictions of the stadium and the activities it has carried out for any reason not attributable to the fault of fact or dealerships which lasted for more than 30 consecutive days will result in a percentage reduction of the annual rent which will be proportional to the reduction in collections compared to those received by the concessionaires in the last contractual year of full use.”

Milan and Inter pay €9.5m each year to the Council but it must be noted the for a large chunk of the 2019-20 season and virtually all of last season fans were not allowed so matchday revenue dropped to practically zero.

The Council are ready to grant lower discounts than those requested by the clubs: 22.737% (just over €2m) for the 2019-20 season and 19.59% (€1,840,369m) for the 2020-21 campaign.
