Maybe ask Conte, cuze he led same backline to the scudettoWhat do you think Inzaghi can do to remedy all this?

Comparisons to Conte are simply unfair. We don't have Lukaku and Lukaku was a key in his football. He was the reference point up front and while Dzeko has been great, he's not like Lukaku. He's not same kind of counter-attack danger and target threath thus opponents don't have to play the same way they had to play when we had Lukaku. I really thought Dzeko could be the target, even better than Lukaku but so far it hasn't looked like that (so I guess that's why we don't do that too much).
Defence line is the same but Conte's defending was stacking the space in front of our defence. It was not about the 1v1 brilliance of these guys or anything. Midfield had to be there always to defend our defence line. It was about controlling our own area and our defence line was close to perfect in that. Now we push more players up front because otherwise we cannot get anywhere because Dzeko is not Lukaku and we don't have left mezzala who's as secure with the ball as Eriksen.
Play with the lines a bit lower and give a try to 3-4-1-2. I know it was terrible under Conte but we play a lot differently now. Maybe things could be different this time. As things stand, the freestyle approach in midfield with the two CMs roaming in attack and leaving Brozovic exposed isn't working. We need to try something else. We also need to implement Dumfries as he's the only one who can bring speed to this team.100% agreed. But what would you adjust/change? I wouldn't know what to do with this squad on playstation.....Dzeko is too slow and useless as a hold up player, our midfield is short-handed with the headless vecino, G5 and Hakan running around, our wings are not good enough, our CBs are too slow and easily exposed on counters, we don't have a DMF, 90% of our players are mentally weak (case in point the 3rd goal).

I was thinking double pivot too but would Barella be disciplined to hold his position? I still think the third mid needs to be defensively competent and contribute both in pressing high up the pitch and in the defensive end, Bernardo Silva / gundogan would be perfectPlay with the lines a bit lower and give a try to 3-4-1-2. If there's no improvement in defensive aspect, just go full attack with Sanchez behind the two forwards and hope you can outscore opponents.
I don’t think many, if anyone expect a scudetto this term. Losing one of the best wingbacks, strikers and managers in the world in one friggin window was devastating. Losing Eriksen sucks as well. That being said, this side should still be good enough for a top 4 finish. Which is what we desperately need considering how dire the finances are.Spalletti or Pioli level in my book.
Not trust Inzaghi this season.
There is low chance we win Scudetto, because he is clueless in defending tactics.
I got feeling Inzaghi can't handle our stars perfectly just like Conte.
The psychological part is the most troubling thing for me. I think that we won some of our games so far because of our mentally under Conte, but looks like this is slowly fading away. Napoli and Milan seem solid enough for top 4. There only two places remaining and I'm not convinced by our display till now that we can make it. It's true that new coach should have a full season before to judge him, but if we finish 5th or 6th, what is the point to even judge him? The failure will be obvious.Judge him by the end of season. Football is a game and a lot of what happens on the pitch and the final result is down to the minor details. The team lost 3 of its most important players compared to the last season and we are dealing with injuries and absence of our SA players on certain matches.
I have seen positive signs in the first hour of the game. We didn't give as much space in defence as we did in the previous matches and our individual mistakes were far less as well. I think that questionable penalty decision followed by THAT second goal had a big psychologial effect on the players and that cost us the game. We shouldn't let that happen but this is how it is.
IMO the final 30 minutes was more of a psychological let down than anything else.
Thank you. I thought i was the only one who saw us suffering on the left side in first half.Funny he fixes transition problem with Gag then there is problem in left side with Bastoni and Dimarco, first half is a nightmare for Bastoni to deal with Anderson.
There're gap between lines, Inter slowly turn to Lazio, we lose ball then suddenly everything looks disorganised.
Season is still early but I don't see we go anywhere if continue playing like this.
You need to go above to see my post why our defending sucks. Basically, defenders are getting exposed to their weaknesses. In first half we played very good football / passing. Haven't seen much of that under Conte.
Problem is our defense sucks this season.
To be fair, the two biggest threats to the scudetto right now are Spalletti and Pioli. I've been extremely impressed with Spalletti's Napoli. They look every ounce of a potential champion right now. I never felt that way about Milan last year. You always knew they were going to drop off eventually.Spalletti or Pioli level in my book.
