He's a less clinical and much slower version of Hakimi. Still better than Jonathan but I don’t see him turning into Maicon

He is RWB with CB attribute. Even his former coach say he was CB who convert to RB.
His heading ability the best in the world for RB, maybe one of the best.
I don't know who RB taller and stronger than him.
At least our team ( Brozo ) already know his strength today. Our third goal happen because him.

The last thing i concern about him is tacticall issue, Eredivisie is very low level tactical league comparing Serie A.
Maybe he need one or two year to adapt Serie A.
The potential is here, but not much like Hakimi, which is already one of the best RB in the world when he come.

If you see his match against Ukraine, even the commentator say he can get hat-trick in this match.
In the end he only score the winning goal against Ukraine.

he is not forward or winger, but right wing back, his excellent attribute must be not shooting or passing.

Given him a break, despite the missed opportunities, did get back a couple of times, crucially in the 2nd half. There is hope for him, but needs to improve a lot.

As attacking defender he must have at least decent passing ability, what the point if he will keep get to good positions to pass and he will fail almost every time..

If he had good cross and passing, i am sure he already go to Dortmund or EPL teams two or three years ago.
Unlike Hakimi, who play as RWB a season before with Dortmund. Dumfries not attacking defender last season, he is RB for PSV.

He on progrees learning how to play RWB under Inzaghi and some under De Boer last year with Netherlands.

Not disappointing for 15 million euro player for me.
We get what we pay. For me he is already better signing than Dalbert and Lazarro.

I think you very disappointing because he not good as Hakimi, like everybody else.
There is no better right back in the market for us, at least we not sign Belllerin.

I am not sure if his raw technique is just bad or he was nervous, but the good stuffs I see from him besides his speed and psychical stuffs, is his distance covering and attack and defend anticipation and positioning are actually pretty good, that is also why we get to see him screwing up his chances, and also covered us in a few counters.
My point is the things he had are not exactly trainable, but the "weakness" of his are trainable, like ball control, finishing and crossing etc. He might not be able to improve all of them but if he gets better at one or 2 he would be very lethal.

Depending on his improvement rate, he can really be a top RB/RWB.

I don't think that his passing is so bad, but more like he is avoiding to cross the ball and tries a pass almost every time. Which is difficult to work, when opposition's penalty area is overcrowded with defenders. From the games so far, his finishing and ball control seem very poor.
He might improve throughout the season, when he gets more confidence, but i have some doubts.

last night he was not bad despite being quite limited technically. he compensated it with determination and hard work. the good thing is he consistently tried to attack the space in flank.
