I don't know about him. He is good, sometimes even great but in large periods in the games, looks somehow disconnected from the flow of the match.
If we can get big money for him, and reinvest them in Vlahovic and let say Raspadori, i'm in. But otherwise it's better to give him a new contract.

I'm still waiting to see what Raspadori has that Esposito doesn't tbh.

Our best striker against Sheriff ystrday. Sad that people is not able to see his work off ball.

My beef with Toro is not his effort, he has plenty of that, it's his IQ on the ball. His off the ball movement is pretty good, as is his pressing and hassling, but on the ball he keeps doing stupid shit. He's got 3-4 years till he peaks so plenty of time to develop, but don't see him developing this aspect.

?!? Many goals in Serie A?
Ermm, that's to be expected given that he is two years older and actually has played more than two full games of Serie A.

I'm talking about on the pitch performance, what does Raspadori have that Esposito doesn't?

What would justify us paying the price for that guy while we already have Esposito ?

Are you talking about that Vlahovic who only performed for half a season and has scored only 1 goal so far this season?

That's absurd. We do need a reliable penalty taker though.

Esposito was crap whenever he played for us. He could not even outperform Satriano performance in pre-season.

Are you seriously comparing Serie A defenders and those of random Swiss League?

Vlahovic has huge potential and great mentality. He is still 21 years old. It's same to say that Oshimen is shit based on his last season.

That was Pinamonti. Esposito didn't take part in our pre-season and he joined Basel in early July.

I'm curious to know, how did you measure it?
First i had noticed him in the game with Fiorentina, when he scored the equalizer in the injury time. After that, i watched some matches of him, and he struck me as a mediocre player. But next season, he has exploded. The leap in the quality of his production was immense, and this is not a thing related only to talent, but more on hard work, concentration and understanding of the football, which is a sign of solid mentality. I've read somewhere that he has been working very hard on trainings and staying even afterwards in order to practice more and to improve. Here is a quotation of his interview: "I feel the responsibility. You are a first-rate player when you score two goals at my age, but you immediately become a failure if you don't score in two games. I know how this works, I'm focused and down to earth. I don't know where I will get to. But I don’t want to regret anything,” "I try to improve every day. I always try different things in training. The trick is to repeat the same movements over and over again. Ronaldo always wants to improve. That is the secret of champions,".
The lad looks serious and very focused on what he is doing. I'd say that this is up to mentality.

I mean in his few matches here, Esposito had never impressed as much as Satriano's this pre-season performance. He isn't good enough to start for any Serie A or B teams, that's why he was loaned to Swiss League.

Comparing that kid to a Sassuolo starter and national team member like Raspadori is ridiculous.

Categorically untrue. Both Perisic and Dzeko played better as strikers, one of them not even being a striker.

Esposito hasn't had the amount of chances that was given to Raspadori. He figured in 194 minutes in Serie A while Sassuolo didn't have any problem starting Raspadori. You're yet to provide any type of criteria on which we should stand to basically buy Raspadori and block the way for Esposito.

Any criteria other than he played/scored more in Serie A because he is at Sassuolo rather than at Inter. On that criteria Pinamonti is better than Raspadori too but this is not the topic anyway.

Because Esposito has done shit in Serie A to gain the trust. 194 minutes? No, many coaches have seen them on daily basis on the training field and they see him not good enough for Serie A, and have to loan him to some farmers league.

You are the one who suggests to use Esposito instead of buying new player. So you have to provide reasons to convince why we should. Not excuses why he did not play. Why are you sure that placing him in Sassuolo he would score as many goals?

Raspadori is a Serie A proven and he was called to the Italy national team. Pinamonti is older but only at U-team at best. Better... maybe in your FM save.

So you still don't have any criteria. Makes sense given how you confused Pinamonti and Esposito tbh.

The argument about many coaches seeing him and judging not good enough for Serie A is bullsh*t because getting play time and confidence at Inter is not the same as getting play time and confidence at Sassuolo, not even close, I'd even argue that if he wasn't Inter property to begin with Esposito would be on our short list seeing how we're targeting the Luccas and the Vignatos around . Esposito was dropped because of contractual problems by the way in 2019/2020, no one ever said he was not good enough. Being sent in a "farmer league" and succeeding there is not for every young italian too, Pellegri was as demanded as Raspadori back when he was at Genoa, even more, look at him now. Scamacca who the medias are now drooling all over was a bench player in Eredivisie at the same age as Esposito who is a starter and playing really well at Basel.

I don't need to convince you or anybody, I said I don't see what Raspadori has that Esposito doesn't and I stand by that opinion. Raspadori is as Serie A proven as Pinamonti, as far as I'm concerned I don't see why we should even think about blocking Esposito by getting him, let alone replacing Lautaro with him. No point discussing this in this thread.

I know this isn’t the Esposito thread but he needs at least 2 seasons in serie a to be a real option. I consider Mulattieri to be more ready than him. Raspadori could probably contribute a decent amount next season.

I think we always analyze Lautaro through the lens of the hype surrounding him as one of the best strikers in the world. I don’t know if he’s that yet, but he’s among the best young strikers in the world. He’s very good in every aspect other than calmness and cleverness in finishing (things Icardi was particularly good at for example). Still, he’s incredibly productive as a player.

Thanks for the info, didn't know about that. I don't follow football closely in recent years except for Inter. In case you didn't read about Lautaro's professionalism, attitude or mentality, I've been posting this material about him here:
