Love how you ignored the most important improvement that brought us the Scudetto. Perisic?!? Lmao.

THESE were the difference between last season and the season before:

We were struggling and were an eye sore to watch until Eriksen and Perisic were added to the mix.
Even Hakimi waa struggling because all play came from his side and it was getting predicable, plus Conte was being harsh on him.

Hakimi didn't clinch that starting spot until late December btw.
Had 6 starts and 6 subs in, 2 of which were Eriksen specials, until the Spezia game where he became a regular.

But yes, Hakimi was also catalytical to the Scudetto.

Perisic brings balance on the left. I don't like him too much in attacking plan and I'd take Di Marco or even Biraghi for pure attack, but Pero is much better on tracking back and in defensive phase, therefore he is better overall than above-mentioned players.

Kostic is better than the three combined and available for 15m. That's the starting material we should aim for. And keep Dimarco as the backup.

Better than the three combined... Talk about fanboyism.

Agree for the Kostic's part, but not for Di Marco as back up. Both of them are attacking minded wingbacks. You need someone like Perisic, when more defensive approach is required.

Kostic keeps getting overrated here.

Have people who support this transfer watched him play more than twice?
He's not even better than Rebic yet you'd think we're discussing Resenbrink or Futre.

Sure. You watched Kostic so much that you are comparing him with Rebic :eek:blivious:

The only things the two in common are "Frankfurt" in their CV and the "ic" in their surnames.

Yeah I agree. I haven't seen Kostic play that much but there might be a reason he's still playing at Eintracth Frankfurt. Last summer he was about to move to LAZIO. Not linked to any top top club. At the age of 28.

That is not a solid argument imo. The new DM of Napoli with long name, was totally unknown (at least for me), but was great signing regardless.
Another reason could be that Kostic is WB. There are not so many top teams playing with 3 defenders, therefore no interest about him.

And here you are comparing him to Dimarco pretending you know who Kostic is

At least they are supposed to occupy the same position had he come here. Not a striker and a wingback.

Pretending to know? Can you stop acting like an arrogant smartass and learn how to respect others' opinions? You know shit about me, or others whether they watched Kostic two times or not. Yeah I was living in Frankfurt, what do you think?

Your way of evaluating a player is far from the golden standard. Quite the opposite, I have seen it enough.

Rebic has always been a left winger.
Perisic has always been a left winger.
Kostic has always been a left winger.

A team playing 3-5-2 or with no wingers and using these guys doesn't mean they're no longer left wingers that cover other positions.

P.S. On a side note, Dimarco has never been a left winger.
On an extra note, we aren't looking for left wingers either.

What the hell? "Monkey is better than fish at climbing trees so we choose him to tow the boat"?!? That's how you write it.

Nope. That's not how I wrote it. That's how you read it.

Try reading it how I actually wrote it.

Allegri won the Serie A Golden Bench with Cagliari.
So has spaletti and gasperini

y'all forget the kind of season lazio was having pre-covid, unbeaten at home, fewest goals conceded, beated Juve 2x (in league and super cup), Inzaghi was doing his thing.

They are all good coaches.

Unlike most people here, I don't really fancy that much on gung-ho football and hate ugly wins tbh. A 1-0 win & fresh players is better than a 5-0 win & gas-out the match after. A point-record is worth more than a goal-scoring record.

Getting in a win series like that and eventually nowhere near the top only meant Inzaghi didn't handle his squad stamina good enough to grind points. You need a form throughout an entire season, not half.

Anyone saying "Inzaghi out" needs to get their head checked. It makes no sense.

I am not a fan of Inzaghi. Didn't want him here, thought it was a short sighted move, and Inzaghi hasn't changed my mind yet. That said, we have signed Inzaghi, clearly the club management rate him, so lets give him a couple of years to show what he can do. Its not like we can get a top manager to replace him anyway, we is broke. The best thing we can do now is give the club some stability, coz its not like we can make big changes that require sizeable investments or afford to pay 2-3 coaches salaries at the same time.

Even if Inzaghi is average as I fear, we are all familiar with the following laws of football:

Limited money + average coach + constant coach changes = banter era

Limited money + average coach + stability = maybe a top 4 team

And there is always a chance that we/I are wrong and Inzaghi turns into another Mancini or something.
