Really needs to up his game, has the effort but needs to be more clinical with his shot. The penalty miss was placed right but their goalkeeper guessed right and made a very good save IMHO.

He scored 21 goals last season, 25 a season earlier. Whose shadow you are talking about he was in?

Fucking tap-in master Dzeko with 0.8 liter volume earns even more
This guy deserves to any criticism he get, when we had lukaku, we kinda could afford ourselves his bad form and we didn't pay too much attention to it because we had lukaku, now that lukaku gone, we just can't afford ourselves his so many missing opportunities, we all expected him to step up as our main striker, but the truth is that alexis and correa have more influence in 15 minutes they play than he have at full game, i like him too and want he succeed here, but he sucks big time so far..

Lautaro
Icardi, lukaku and dzeko shadow, in that order.
Lautaro saved that season we were about to fail because of Icardi's antics. He acted as a true professional when his father lost his temper due to Spalletti who kept him on the bench for the sake of playing that sorry ass captain. You should be praising him for that season, let alone criticizing. I mean Icardi's shadow didn't protect him from criticism as you are trying to put here.

Lukaku was our main striker while Lautaro has always been olayed as SS and despite that he scored a little shy of Lukaku's number of goals. Remember in the season 2019-20 Lautaro was carrying our attack in the CL while Lukaku was struggling. I am not sure whose shadow was protecting whom from criticism...

Dzeko? Lol.. he doesn't even have a shadow.

Now he's going to fuck off to Argentina, play 3 games and come back even more tired and useless.

Guy needs to sort out his consistency issue. I'd drop him for correa now.

Luckily it's only two games.

But he needs to fucking step up with the scoring. Can't keep missing penalties and those chances.

His pen ratio is 70% at Inter btw (10 penalties, pen shootouts not counted). Not terrible but not great either. I think Calhanoglu should be in front of him based on today's game. Maybe even Perisic?

I'd prefer even Dimarco over Lautaro when it comes to pens. The correct order should be Perisic>Hakan>Dimarco>Lautaro. Trouble is the first three don't always start so we are back to square one.

Perisic or Dimarco either one starts always. Dimarco's record isn't great at top level with pens. :D But I guess earlier in his career he has been pretty good.

Perisic appears much stronger mentally at least.

This guy should be banned from taking penalties. And I'm not agree that Lautaro was SS during Conte's spell here. We didn't use SS, but 2 strikers formation. Most of the games Lukaku was the one, who dropped deep to receive the ball and start an attack, not Lautaro.

Lauti, Lauti... what a fucking child you still are. I fear he will never grow up to be a leader to be relied on. Looks like he simply can't hack it, both from a mentality/personality perspective as well as his limited skill set.

I thought following his contract renewal he might hit a patch of good form but instead he just extends his horrendous barren streak.

If we are relying on him as our “star striker” long term we might be in trouble. He just isn’t that. Perhaps he will be in the future, perhaps he won’t. Players can develop and Lautaro will but I just really question if he’s ever going to be a Milito/Eto’o/Ibra level striker. He’s not a young player anymore, and his composure seems to be getting worse not better. That’s what is worrying, it’s not even the physical or technical limitations which also exist.

Not convinced at all by his performances so far. He should stop wasting chances.

I'm not even upset by him that much anymore, I'm upset with Conte, and now Inzaghi for letting him take the starting slot for granted. Bench him for 3 matches in a row and go with Correa/Sanchez.

Our depth in attack was worse last season than this one

Only Sanchez and Pinamonti on bench, lol.

We were lucky Lukaku and Lautaro were fit 99% of the time. And we had Pintus.

How many strikers do you want, seven? We won the triplete with 4 strikers in total. I don't mean to get into comparison in terms of quality, I'm talking about the depth in terms of quantity as that's what matters when we start talking about injury risks.

Conte should've used Pinamonti against the relegation sides last season. That same Pinamonti has 4 goals so far this season, which is just 1 (one) goal less than Lautaro. Just as Inzaghi should use Correa more often right now. His stubborn insisting on Dzeko was obviously unsustainable and now may cost us dearly. Thank god its NT break time.

I think your post is kind of similar to saying that some posters on here should stop making shit posts. It does not really get us anywhere. And it is not like he is missing those chances on purpose.

Didn't say I wanted 7 strikers

Just pointed out facts-Sanchez is injury prone and Pinamonti isn't good enough.
