Milan remind me a bit of those Inter, who had beaten them 1-0, with Guarin's goal - total shit but somehow we're able to take points. Now it was pretty much the same excluding last 15 min.

Worst derbi in a long time, such a shitty game from both sides.

Shitty game and we still had to win it. We created so many chances and should have burried it before half-time.

What's up with these subs in the 85th minute? The f*ck was Inzaghi thinking? This was typical a game where we could have won it in the second half if the subs were on point. Dzeko and Lautaro should have been subbed way earlier. If Inzaghi insist on player an ''targetman'' and someone around him we should get a striker who can replace Dzeko in the winter. Apparently Inzaghi doesn't trust Satriano so we should loan him out and get someone on loan to fill in that spot.

Disappointing result. I wouldnt be so disappointed if we were chasing win, but no, last 15 minutes we were defending and we were shit. Against Bbilan without Theo. Fuck that.

It’s pretty clear that this team is lacking a protagonist. This whole team gives off big supporting actor energy, we’re like a great band with no lead singer. Our movie is lacking a main character. Say what you want about Lukaku but he was that guy for us.

This is unfortunately what happens when you sell your only natural goal scorer. Remember how the complaint about Lukaku was that he didn’t score enough “decisive” goals. Well how many of those non-decisive goals could we have used this year when we were up 1-0? We can’t kill games.

That’s obviously not on Inzaghi, however he’s not free from criticism either. We did have our chance to win this game. However when we were in the ascendency we needed to put our foot on their throat with a Sanchez or Correa sub. Instead we held constant and only brought subs due to injury until it was too late for the subs to make an impact and we had lost control of the game.

That tells me that Inzaghi did not want to lose this match more then he wanted to win this match. Time will tell if that was the right choice. We are better then Milan, and perhaps we’ll catch up. I can understand the fear of going 10 points behind this early, however I don’t think that’s the mentality that’s going to win us another scudetto.

This team seems like they’re back to where we were in the first year with Conte. I don’t get the vibe we are the reigning Serie A champs. We are back to being flat track bullies that struggle in the big matches. The added benefit now is we play a little bit better as a team and our CL group is easier because of our seeding.

Mentally we’re weaker then last year, we’re less fit then last year, and our personnel in 3 key positions is markedly worse. When we adequately replace Hakimi, Lukaku and Eriksen then we can talk. Those are 3 players that on their day are world class. Until we replace what we’ve lost this is our new normal.
I think this is why we were all so desperate for a BIG signing after Lukaku left. Correa was a relative waste of money because he’s not a leading man either - someone like Vlahovic or Isak, inexperienced as they are, seem much bigger as personalities.

But honestly, even spending 5m on Giroud would have helped massively.

This is so spot on and why the shit posting about lukaku scoring "useless" goals made zero sense.

The debate wasn't about goals scored after 1-0 or any 1 goal difference, but for a larger difference in the score line. We were never in this position thus far, where we collapsed from a 2 goal cushion that a 3rd goal would prove decisive for the win.

We definitely miss his penalty taking skills though

I miss the days where we had 11 protagonists on the field. Each player was a fucken school on his own.

We had JC who never froze, we had Lucio that fws in the German league arranged a party for his departure, he used to make the shit their pants there. Then Samuel the Wall arguably the best CB in Argentian history. Then you have the Tractory which needs no fucken introductions on an Inter forum, then fucken Maicon for fucks sake..

I’m not even past the first third of the field yet mate, we’ve had 11 fucken championships back then that if you put each one if them on a different team, each team will be relying on that player 100%

Now really there’s no one player we can compare to the least player of that treble. This team is lacking a lot to take us anywhere near the stars.

Game should have been won in the 1st half. Could have even lost at the end but still it feels like 3 points dropped :cautious:

I thought a day after the game that I would be a little more accepting of the result. But I am probably more angry this morning than I was yesterday.

It is a pretty shit feeling to go on international break after the Milan Derby knowing we could have closed the gap and with all the talk being about Çalhanoğlu and his "provocative" goal celebration.

Fucking bullshit.

And still with that titans of players it was so fkn hard to win it all, we were against maybe best Barca team ever, also fkn Roma was really strong. Great times.

Care to name 11 such players in today's football? Not at one club, but in general.
Easy.

Harry Kane. Sterling. Jordan Henderson. Jonny Evans. Patson Daka. Grealish. Dean Henderson. Jesse Lingard. Harry Maguire. Jadon Sancho. Hudson-Odoi. Timo Werner. Eric Dier. Oliver Skipp. Nicolas Pepe. Harry Winks.

Another 3 points down the tube.

Honestly the last 10 minutes were due to the injuries to Barella and Dzeko and I'm not worried about it because those two players are fundamental to us. We were much better than Milan throughout the game and deserved the 3 points, I still think it's possible that we'll be laughing at the end of the season. Especially if Milan lose the likes of Kjaer.

Btw did anyone else think Pioli's decision to sub off Leao was insane? He was their best player.

More of a reflection on the state of Serie A tbh, those top players won't come to Italy.

To be fair I have no problem with some of our protagonists, the likes of de Vrij, Darmian (yes, I can't believe I'm mentioning him), Skriniar, Perisic, Dzeko, Brozovic and Barella all have the right mentality and sacrifice for the greater good. What's nice about this Inter team is there is no star player, we're a collective, the problem with that is that we don't have that star who gives us that little bit extra. Lukaku wouldn't have missed those penalties against Atalanta and Milan but hey, I'm not all doom and gloom, I think our new coach has settle well and we're about to qualify for the knockout phase of the UCL.

I actually like Milner, it's just extremely stupid (sorry @wera ) to draw a comparison between him and Javier Zanetti.

I also rate Daka and Hudson-Odoi from the list and by rate, agree with the general rating they receive. Everyone else is overrated as hell. Except Werner who is shat on. No clue why poor Dean Henderson made the list :D
