So far we have Dzeko, Barella, Vidal, Bastoni and De Vrij doubtful with injuries. Anyone else?

WTF!! Thats half our starting XI! Get Pintus back!
Well, since you`ve asked :yao:

Inter have worries regarding the conditions of South American duo Alexis Sanchez and Lautaro Martinez, who are uncertain for the big game against Napoli this weekend.

Simone Inzaghi could have to cope without Chile forward Sanchez, as the Nerazzurri forward had to stop after 36 minutes in the 2-0 defeat to Ecuador in the World Cup Qualifiers.

Arturo Vidal had already been sent off after 13 minutes, before Sanchez suffered a muscle injury and was replaced by Jean David Meneses.

The former Arsenal and Manchester United player returns to Milan in the next few hours and the Beneamata will carry out the necessary tests to better understand the extent of the injury.

Tuttomercatoweb reports the problems continued for Inter during Argentina’s 0-0 draw with Brazil, when the Albiceleste secured a place at the World Cup next year.

Lautaro Martinez was substituted at the break, replaced by Inter teammate Joaquin Correa after one half at the Estadio San Juan del Bicentenario.

He suffered several blows during the first 45 minutes and had to come off at half-time, but the report believes he should be in contention for the big game on Sunday.

Vidal looks like he has recovered. Hopefully Barella, Dzeko & Martinez will recover as well.

But yeah, best case scenario we will play against Napoli with a bunch of half-fit and/or jet lagged players. We are going to lose this to a Politano goal. aren't we? That would be so Inter.

draw is actually like a win for us against napoli for now :yao:
so far they have played against weaker teams, their only significant victory was vs lethargic rubentus at home. Their real strength is to be proven yet. This match is going to be the real test for them. I say we win 2-1 and Lautaro to score.

they also draw against Roma.. i saw that game and honestly could not "discover" why napoli should be that good, they played at Romas same level. And it was also the same Roma that lost 6-1 to blodo gimt, 4 days before. I know that even a good team can have a bad perfomance. But i saw 4-5 Napoli games this season and can say that they are not invincible. Without Koulibaly and Oshimen they would be fifth today, their team needs still to be upgraded to be competitive...

it's anyway clear that we will gift them the scudetto if we continue wasting chances. We need to win this game.

Even if we win it will taste bittersweet because we'd be gifting the #1 place to Bbilan.

I would not be too fussed about Milan going top. At least we would still be in the race.

If we lose, we are well and truly done.

More than anything, I want us to win because it is the first time that we will cross paths with Spalletti since he left his family's vineyard. That and the fact we really need a win against a direct rival.

Don't have one.
I hope spalleti gets some sort of ovation, I consider him a coach who put the initial building blocks into our scuddetto campaign. He had his faults, but for some reason or another I never started disliking him like coaches that came before.

As for the game, I'm feeling strangely optimistic, it's surely a time to win one big game this season. Rule of large numbers kinda thing.

Did you read what "Lucky" Luciano said?

“I hope they [Inter fans] won’t boo me,” Spalletti told Il Corriere dello Sport. “There would be no reason. After all, I did something good there.

“Antonio Conte won the title, but I put some bricks in that group. Hopefully, they haven’t forgotten about it.” - Spalletti
Why would they boo him? For being coward, playing for draws or perhaps sitting at home doing nothing and pocketing millions from the club for the remaining of his contract? Naaaah, Inter fans are classier than that 😉

We absolutely need to win this one to stay in the race. But yeah, expecting Politano to score:
“We have to do well this month, thinking about giving our best every match. As San Siro it’s always fascinating. We’re up against a great team, but we are aware of having an advantage in the table. Our goal is to keep the Nerazzurri at a distance.” - Politano

The former Nerazzurro believes coach Spalletti has ‘much of the credit’ for the great start to the season.
We are a united and solid group, the most compact I have ever played in,” Politano added. “We help each other, and this is fundamental, both on and off the pitch, to get great results.

“Much of the credit goes to Spalletti, who guides us with attention to every detail.”

Politano concluded by explaining the mental target of the Azzurri in 2021-22.
“Spalletti has so much energy that he transmits to us every day,” he continued. “This year we are looking for that maturity we were lacking in the past.

“We want to give continuity to the results, an aspect that becomes fundamental in the long run to achieve our objectives.”

Napoli will not be able to count on the support of their own fans when they face Inter at San Siro on Sunday evening, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by FCInter1908, the Committee of Analysis for the Safety of Sporting Events has decided that travelling fans from the Campania region, where Napoli are based, will not be allowed to attend the match in Milan.

The action was taken as it was decided that there is a serious risk of violence if the Napoli fans are allowed to attend the match and mix with the Inter fans.

Fans who had already purchased their tickets will be reimbursed for the money they spent, but Luciano Spalletti’s side will have to try and win the match without the backing of their own fans.

Easy win 2-0 (Ranocchia, Dzeko). Toro is gonna throw 5 clear chances of scoring, if he plays

Napoli is out toughest matchup in the season at this point. Let's hope we're ready despite the absences.
