We have only 4 player who create/score a goal every 90 minutes. Vidal, Sanchez, Dzeko & Correa, in that order. Inzaghi needs to use Vidal and Sanchez more.

As of 07 Nov 21:

- For consistency, assists awarded as per legaseriea.it
- kc = Key contributions
- GC = Goal Contributions ie total goals the player has scored or created = goals + assists + kc
- GC% = Percentage of Inter goals the player has scored or created

For goal #3, I'd give a KC for Barella for his double input, first in helping get that ball back and second for that crazy run that helped slice their defense.

I agree.

Also if Barella gets the KC for the penalty, I'd give a KC for Darmian too, the pass was equally good as the shot.

So far I am avoiding giving KCs for runs which create space. Once we start giving those KCs, there will be no end to it. Do you guys think we should open that pandora's box? Or maybe we just award Barella a "special case" KC for the double input as Brehme is suggesting, but continue to ignore runs which create space for future KCs. Just want to be consistent here, what do you think?

KC for Darmian's pass - I think its a bit much, but am happy to over rule myself if you both agree.

I'm completely against giving KC for getting a penalty. That should also hand out KCs for direct FKs. And eventually we go for the other pandora's box and give it to indirect set pieces, including corners.

I don't think it's a pandora's box. If a run enables a goal, it's KC. A run that's just a run, shouldn't. They are pretty obvious cases as you can see how a defense responds to it and how it affects the play.

I can see the argument of a pandora box. But I also think Barella's contribution was pretty clear in this particular case.

And actually I agree with brehme on penalties and KCs. It's soon easy to go further and further from the actual goal scoring play. Like that Darmian pass to Barella. I would actually remove KCs from penalties completely. Have you been doing that consistently Bluenine right from the start? I think that's one thing to re-consider if so.

Maybe some totally clear-cut obvious ones like dribbling past few players, getting to clear scoring chance and then defender brings you down or something, then I could admit KC for penalty is granted? Thoughts?

I have been giving a KC for the player who wins the penalty for consistency. But I see the points raised by both of you, we can be objective when it comes to KCs. Lets do it case-to-case basis from now on, going with the majority decision.

The one thing we should keep in mind is that not all goals are of equal quality, not all assists are of equal quality, and hence not all KCs need to be of equal quality. Consistency in awarding KCs is important.

Actually I reverted my opinion, no KC for Barella or Darmian for the penalty if you ask me.

I wouldn't give KC to Darmian in Dzeko's goal. IMO that was more just a bounced, random ball which fell to Dzeko than anything else.

Its not a deserving KC, its more of a KC for "enterprise" in the penalty area. If Darmian does not make a nuisance of himself in the opposition area so often, we will score less goals and there would be less opportunities like these. So I think that KC should stand, Darmian's blocked shot created the goal shot for Dzeko.

And we have been harsh on Darmian in the first point, so lets be lenient on the 2nd. God knows he has deserved far more assists/KCs this season if Inter players could finish easy chances.
