Just, what a moron man. He'd have had another 30 odd goal season here, even if he would have declined after Conte left. Another scudetto probably. And now he's back to being mocked by EPL mongs with the added burden of a gigantic price tag in a system that doesn't suit him.

Whatever. Forza Dzeko, and thanks for the money. If he then goes on to make it so that Juve lose De Ligt, it's some of the greatest business we've ever done.

We should pull a Griezzman type of deal- Chelsea loan us for 2 years for free.

Maybe, Mourinho will try for a loan, since Roma needs some help, big time.

Aware of Roman Abramovich’s policy not to do business with Tottenham but what if the deal involved a swap with Harry Kane for Lukaku.

These are the deals that the players agents need to make happen.

I have never understand these statements by players/agents talking about the future at a new club while playing for another. Yes, we all know that 99% of the players change clubs but still... Especially in Lukaku case when he has just moved to England and his agent is already talking about possible return to Italy  . Not to mention the fact that Chelsea paid 100+ millions for him.

What’s there to understand? It has not gone how he dreamed and he is already looking and hoping for an exit.

Rather than earn his stripes, he’ll runaway like Conte and will not worry that he is running to Juventus.

Nothing personal but all his talks about going to his "dream club" seem even more ridiculous now.

I cant see him coming to Serie A again. Juventus could probably buy him if they sell couple of players first but then they need to reinforce def and mid and i cant see how spending almost all of your budget on Lukaku could help them. No other club could afford him, maybe just maybe Napoli if they sell Osimhen first. Once again we turn as a winner side in another big transfer, i wont ever doubt Marotta and Ausilio again.

Pastorello words aren't to be taken lightly. He had said Lukaku is going to leave Man Utd in May, 3 months before it actually happened so don't be surprised if Lukaku returns to Italy next summer.
Yes, except that this time, the headline was taken out of context ;) aka click-bait: AGENT: ‘LUKAKU WILL RETURN TO ITALY

Here`s what Pastorello actually said:
“I was the architect of Antonio Conte’s move to Chelsea and after the Premier League victory, he wanted Lukaku.
“Romelu was playing for Everton at that time. I met him and told him that Conte would have been the ideal coach for him, but he picked Manchester United.

“After one year, once he had left his previous agent, he called me with a new number. He told me that everything I had told him the first time we met, had become real. So he wanted me to become his new agent.”

Lukaku spent two seasons at Manchester United, scoring 28 goals in 66 games. In the summer of 2019, both Juventus and Inter wanted to sign him, but in the end, the Nerazzurri managed to secure his services and Conte could finally play with the striker he wanted at Chelsea.

“The deal with Manchester United was on hold because Zhang didn’t want to meet United’s demands,” Pastorello recalled.
“United had an agreement with Juventus who would have bought Dybala and Mandzukic, Romelu had already spoken to Sarri and Cristiano Ronaldo.
“We managed to convince Zhang to raise the offer and I think his transfer shifted the balance in Italy, will all the respect due to his former teammates.”

Lukaku signed a contract until June 2026 at Stamford Bridge, but could he return to Italy one day?
“Yes, Romelu is in love with our country,”
admitted Pastorello. “But let him enjoy Chelsea now.”

I don`t expect Chelsea to release him any time soon, especially given the amount that has been invested. He went out of reach for Serie A, so not worried at all.

I don`t hold a grudge against him at all. If anything, I have regrets over his performance in the Europa League finals against Sevilla (!).
Other than that, he did his job very well and saved the club financially speaking. He decided to accept a 100% increase in wage, not sure how many of you would refuse something like that ;)

I could never see Lukaku going to Juve, at least not in a prime age. He cares a TON about his PR. He was mocked already for leaving us after we gave him everything. Then to be a massive bust in the PL and come right back to Serie A with one of our biggest rivals? Not a chance. I could see him going to France or Germany and tearing up those weak leagues before he did that. At least not after one year.

He'll go wherever his ego will be stroked the most.

He didn't mind moving to Utd despite his 'favourites' Chelsea bidding for him at the same time. He didn't mind going back to Chelsea. He didn't mind negotiating with both us and Juve. If they can afford to pay him what he wants and make him the centre of their project, he'll sign with them in a heartbeat.

P.S. I say this without any bitterness. As far as I'm concerned, he's entitled to choose his employer without worrying about what fans of previous employers think about his decisions.

Tell me pls, say you want to quit your boring job @ A company and you start looking for opportunities. You suddenly get a call from McKinsey, you pass interviews and agree terms with them, but the company says the final decision on your employment is not done yet, you have to wait. In the meantime, a rival company BCG wants an interview with you too, would you be declining them knowing that your employment with McKinsey is not certain yet?

Of course not, and that's exactly why I specified that I have no bitterness towards him, cause I might have done exactly the same thing in his position.

It's ok, but his declaration that he had been a fan of Inter as a child and always dreaming to play here, were totally unnecessary. I haven't believed in a second, but some Inter fans did, and now are vastly disappointed with his behavior.
I won't be surprised if he goes to jube and start talking same bullshits, that they were his favorite team, and he's always dreaming to play there, Del Piero was his idol, etc.

This shows Lukaku IQ is not great. He was a much better fit here.
In the other hand, Hakimi was forced to leave.
