I have to strongly disagree, sorry.

I think we have seen enough to know he isn't going to be good enough, if he's happy he could be a good 3rd/4th striker MAX.
Where did I claim he would be starter? For me he has the potential to improve and be a very good sub/rotation player.

Where did I claim you said he would be a starter? I disagree he has time to prove he is good enough for Inter my friend.

Sorry for the confusion.

What I have noticed while watching Pinamonti at Empoli is that he decided to play a-la-big club strikers: max 1 or 2 touches.

So very often when he is about to hit the ball he does it quickly, making the decision and executing it. I mean he had the chance to learn from the best and it`s up to him to further improve and improve his accuaricy on the finishing.

Club payed €21m to get him back in that agreement, which is probably over his current value but you have to take his potential into consideration.

I wouldn`t write him off at 22, he is italian and we know how finely they age ;)

Agree. Pinamonti was very average. But we can't afford to have 2 sets of starters based on our current finance. I mean look at Alexis. Excellent player. But play him a minute less and he'll start complaining.

It's not a problem to have Gagliardini. It only becomes a problem when we have BOTH Gagliardini and Vecino. Similarly, it's fine to have Dzeko+Lautaro+Correa+Pinamonti when we're on a tight budget. If you ask me, I'd rather have a team of Italians as our backup. It's better for team cohesion. They are able to keep themselves healthier for longer. Plus there's a higher chance that they're willing to stay longer and expect a lower salary, just so they can stay close to their extended family. In the long run your replacement cost is also lower.

Keeping yourself healthier has nothing to do with where you've born. :D

It helps if the culture embraces it.

Although I wouldn't say it applies to Italy as much as say France, but it definitely doesn't have a shitfood culture where you can go wild with unhealthy options. And I'm not limiting this to football players, but always remember that these guys have their friends from outside the sport. In England for example your mates go for 5-6 pints and eat junk food. You don't have that in Italy, or France. Germans have it, but their food is significantly better than the British even if it's not on the healthy side either.

Still haven't come across more than 1 chubby Frenchy per week here. Older Italians tend to become fat, like most Mediterraneans :p
Too much healthy eating is still too much eating

I have a big problem with that, especially if we want to have any Scudetto aspirations. Dzeko is old, he will have loads of injuries or need rotation. In those times, our only striker on the bench is Pinamonti. And God forbid if Lautaro or Correa get injured, coz that would mean our season is fucked. And we know that Correa is quite injury prone.

Pinamonti just doesn't have the quality to play for Inter. Being Italian cannot be the only criteria. Maybe if he or Esposito or Mulattieri go up a level on their quality, they could be an option for 4th striker. But not yet.

Gagliardini as our 6th midfielder, that I can live with.

And he doesn't look too bad. This loan in Empoli do wonders to his valuation.

His wages are too high… so he would need to take a massive massive pay cut to join his next team unless it’s in the epl. He won’t be easy to get rid of

give him a shot or we just going to include him for someone his age that a smaller team gave a shot to?

I mean his wages are out of this world....

Its irony that Pinamonti performs better, giving more impact than Toro this season...
