Ever since he joined, every game I'm like "if this guy learns how to play simple, he would be the best player in Serie A" when the guy is 33 😅. A shame really. Even when he is overcomplicating things he's like our most clutch player in terms of G/A per minutes played. Sometimes I feel like he slows down the play just to show he controls the tempo of our attacks, even when there are pass options that would put us through on goal. I wouldn't let him go though. His enormous ego can really change games on its own. But he could have been among the top, top players in the world if only he had simplified his game and humbled himself down a bit.

I feel like he holds the ball for the sake of holding the ball too much. Then again if we just want a simple passer, we have Lord Gags for that role. Appreciate his contribution but can't justify his wage, given his reliability/availability. I guess that's the premium we had to pay for a "free" transfer. EUR 7M for 3 seasons. So that's like signing a past-his-prime player for EUR 12M (which is okay but not great) with an annual salary of EUR 3M per season (which is okay).

Dunno wassup with him and Dzeko tonight. Constantly blaming one another. For a moment they kept exchanging cazzo with one another for 3/4 rounds. He’s really getting on my nerves lately
I actually like their dynamics.

He's a freaking catalyst and I'm astounded that it's not unanimous
I think he's fucking fantastic, I just think he can't be relied upon due to his penchant for being unavailable at crucial parts of the season.

Last year, when he used to come on to form a sort of trident with Lautaro and Lukaku whenever we needed a goal, he felt like a cheat code at times. Just absolutely positive he would lead us to scoring, and this season he seems to be in even better form. Just needs to be banned from going to Chile.

At the moment I'd say next to Hakan he is our most in form player the last 5 games.

Know what's funny in this video? Alexis used the same trick every time. If it lands on Hakimi's feet, it'll result in either a goal or an assist. If it lands on Dumfries', either he trips himself or he sends the ball straight to the goalkeeper. I guess that's the difference between paying 45M vs. 15M.

Forza Dumfries though. He's a humble guy.

It’s no coincidence that our best performances this year have come with Sanchez or Correa playing off the striker. Having a true support striker who is comfortable playing between the lines instead of Lautaro or Dzeko dropping deep adds another dimension to our play.

If Sanchez leaves the replacement shouldn’t be a Scamacca. It should be a support striker. A striker like Scamacca should be a Dzeko replacement and competition for Lautaro IMO.

I would honestly throw in a cheeky loan bid for Joao Felix. He wants out at Atletico and no one really plays with natural support strikers these days besides us and Atletico really.

I can see Chelsea also being competition, but yeah, someone like Felix would thrive here. Very much an impossible dream imo, but a fun idea.

I really can't. Chelsea need a forward, not a support striker. No point for them to go after Joao Felix when they have Kai Havertz.

Which is absolutely hilarious considering they just dropped 115m for one  Chelsea are so stacked in the forwards department I forgot Havertz was even there, you're right, kinda precludes any moves for Joao Felix.

Inzaghi would take the max out of Joao Felix. Much more than fucking Simeone.
