That Julian Alvarez guy was named on a top 100 list of best footballers in the world this year (Guardian).

Speaking of that list, they have Lautaro in #30 and Brozovic in #81. Do these guys watch other leagues or just EPL and international football?

Alvarez seems like a better prospect to me than Scamacca, and seeing how they'd both cost about the same, and Alvarez has the Argentinean connection with Lautaro, I he hope we prioritize him.

But Inter didn't have Julian Alvarez as their priority sadly. Inter looking for Scamacca, Belotti, Insigne, Raspadori first.

Just want to say that I check this thread every day in the hopes of finding good rumours. Our forward line is utter shit and the weakest part of our team. Sell Lautaro next summer and buy a proper forward line. If no one can see that I have nothing to say.

They lack creativity, invention, speed and finishing. Both Lautaro and Dzeko are wasteful with chances. How many times have they missed easy chances this season? I couldn’t count.

Slow down my G

Our forward line needs tweaking, not a complete overhaul. Things are going well, no need to reinvent the wheel.

Lautoro + a Scammaca level striker is not perfect but IMO it will see us through for the next 4-5 years in terms 2/3 trophies and consistent UCL runs.

Forward line utter shit? :D

In Serie A, Lautaro 11 goals, Dzeko 8 goals (3 in CL), Correa 4 goals and Sanchez 2 goals (1 in CL). Wouldn't call this utter shit, quite contrary.

to win scudetto and European competition, not only a superior forward we need, we also need winning mentality and cohesion from the squad. PSG with Neymar-Messi-Di Maria- Mbappe quartet were still struggling to scored goals against Lorient, Lens etc

Tancredi Palmeri says Marotta is disturbing Juve’s renewal with Dybala - offering what is essentially Sanchez’ wages when he leaves and a higher commission to his agent.
All apparently very preliminary.

I’m fairly sure Tancredi is a shit-tier source but this is the kind of move the champion of the league should be doing. Weaken and disturb the competition to open a cycle. We robbed Hakan, we took Dzeko, let’s keep it going.

Marotta
In theory, Dybala on a free could be a bargain. He certainly has a star quality we don’t have.

That being said he hasn’t shown it in a while and always seems to be unavailable. Not too mention the salary that would be involved.

I don't take Palmeri seriously but let's assume for the sake of the argument his report is accurate. Let's see what we know till today.

Dybala is asking for around 10m per year. Juventus sources claimed there was an agreement between the two sides for 8m plus 2m bonuses back in October, even before we agreed terms with Lautaro. We are in the end of December and Dybala has yet to sign the new contract. The excuse from Juve journalists renewal hasn't been signed yet for "bureaucratic reasons" is really laughable. It's been 3 months. Imo there's simply no agreement between Juve and Dybala. It could be about the bonuses or agent fees but there's definitely something going on. Even Arrivabene said some players are more attached to their agents than the jersey when he was asked about Dybala renewal.

Now about a potential interest from Inter for Dybala. We know for sure Marotta rates Dybala very highly. He had tried to sign him in a swap deal with Icardi. It would also be a typical Marotta move to weaken a rival by taking one of their best forwards. Morata is expected to leave, Chiesa is more of a winger than a forward for Allegri, Kulusevski is on the market, Kean can't be more than a backup. If Juve also lost Dybala, then they would need a squad overhaul both in midfield and attack and they're lacking the funds for it. Signing Dybala on a free would be a real coup and something Marotta would love to do it.

BUT

i don't think there are the conditions to pull it off. Even if we offered Sanchez salary to Dybala it still wouldn't be enough. Even Dybala current salary (7.3m) exceeds what Sanchez is earning. Inter can't afford Dybala wage demands. We also need to take into consideration if it's smart to offer a massive salary to Dybala from a sporting point of view. In the last two seasons Dybala has been a ghost of the player he was till 2020. Hell of an injury prone. He has actually played less games than Alexis. Let that sink in. And even when he isn't injured he is inconsistent. He would be a gamble on the pitch and he certainly isn't worth the money he's asking. I wouldn't offer more than 5-6m/season to current Dybala.

Dybala under Inzaghi would be a MVP player IF his legs hold up, but it won't. Sensi has exhausted us many years now, can you imagine a 9M€ a year player doing tiktok vidz with a beautiful girlfriend while we are needing actual goals on the pitch. I'd be crazy mad. This is exactly whats happening atm @Rube.

But since Beppe is a huge Dybala fan, a trio of Scamacca, Frattesi Dybala in the summer is not out of question if we are releasing contracts.
