imo signing Lukaku like taking double-edge sword.

from sporting aspect Lukaku has a plus even than rumoured future Inter forwards Vlahovic or Scamacca. Lukaku could deliver something Vlahovic Scamacca cant, goals.

but imo from financial aspect and dressing room/mentality aspect, totally a bad signing. his big salary (10 M Euros/years, net), nearly 30+ years, required a big sum of funds (MV 80M-100M Euros). i dont think Suning approving transfer like that. Suning already broke.
from dressing room/mentality aspect also a bad signing especially after he throws shit tantrum to Chelsea like his shit interview. his behavior could destroy Inter slowly.
lol WHAT

honestly, practically, there's no financial way we sign Lukaku. As I said, there's also no way Chelsea will let him leave and that seems to be vindicated right now - rumours have it they're trying to reconcile, but there's no way out for Lukaku this jan.

And, I do agree, if we were to spend something like a reasonable amount of money on Lukaku, Id rather see it go to someone like Vlahovic, or both Scamacca and Raspadori, or whatever. I dont know specifically.

That being said, I still stand by the statement that Lukaku would be an upgrade for this team where we are right now.

Vlahovic is a goal scoring machine, that definitely doesn't apply to him. We can't afford him either Sadly.

Like I said before, these comments by Lukaku were stupid. But people are also blowing them way out of proportion. I guess Lukaku will apologise to his teammates and that will be the end of that.

There is no way Marina is letting a 115m striker walk away on a free loan, and there is no way Inter can afford to buy him. So its pointless to discuss his return.

A friend of mine who follows EPL closely reminded me of some old interviews of Drogba. This is the same Drogba who is treated like God by Chelsea fans.

Were Lukaku comments stupid? Certainly. But the hate he gets is unreal. He is neither the first nor the last player to make comments in an interview without thinking. He will issue an apolology in public and everyone will move on.

I think people will get over it, its not the end of the world, but it was daft in the context of - not playing as well as he did at Inter (e.g. not justifying his transfer fee), 6 months in to Chelsea, and only been available like 60%? of the matches, and with Chelsea playing better without him

People will get over it for sure. Football fans are fickle, if you're in form everything can be forgiven.

Drogba at least did something in Chelsea. He consistently murdered Arsenal when they were a force to be reckon with.

With Lukaku in Chelsea, this is far from what is expected from such a big transfer... he won't get the god status playing like that

You cannot tell if players like each other from what goes on at a club/stadium level.

Does Zlatan "hate" Lukaku after he was provoking him with that 'voodoo shit' comments? Lukaku is also a big, strong fellow. If you're not happy with him, you don't tell him, especially if you know he's too sensitive and emotional. Icardi on the other hand is like some scrawny kid, one punch and he's down. So expressing negative sentiments isn't really a two-way street. Not that many people have the @@ to insult people who under normal circumstances would beat the hell out of them. Not everyone is like Vidal. And you cannot really burst against the coach's pet.

At Chelsea we know that he doesn't really have the backing of the players, but he's the new guy there. He's not liked by any fanbase he's played for and that list did not really include Inter until last week. Everton, Manchester United, Inter and now Chelsea. No idea about Anderlecht but it's been so long and it's different times now so they'd probably be ecstatic to see him return.

Cannot comment on his Inter teammates, I know he has relations with guys like Eriksen, Hakimi, maybe Bastoni and Lautaro, but you cannot really tell these things.

You commented on Icardi, the guy appears to still be on good terms with former teammates, like Lautaro, Skriniar, Vecino, D'Ambrosio, Miranda and Ranocchia. Not many others are left actually. We cannot really know if that's a professional courtesy or genuine friendship, just because of social media, news articles or what you saw in the pitch. All we know is that he had a rift with Spalletti, Perisic, Brozovic and potentially Handanovic. And perhaps with Marotta, although we cannot know if that escalated beyond Wanda's tense relationship with Marotta. In the past he also was on bad terms with Osvaldo, true, but that's 2 players out of 50 that played with him. Osvaldo caused problems everywhere he went. Perisic had issues with Klopp.. It's not black & white like that. There were also rumours that Jovetic also disliked Icardi, but he had denied it in the media. Even if that's true, that's less than 5 cases in 70+ teammates and staff over the years.
But thats exactly what i mean. Lukaku was one of this players that was helpfull in the team, a team player. Icardi the opposite. As you said Spalletti Handa Brozo Perisic Osvaldo... this are all examples. Lukaku was loved for he's team attitude.

It's not that bad but I expect it to get worse during the course of the season because it's now out here and even the other players are aware of his behavior.

Not to mention this temporary peace doesn't mean Tuchel is going to change the way Chelsea plays so Lukaku will keep struggling to adapt and occasionnally get benched which will make him play even worse.

Adriano, you are a finance guy too. Even if he was willing to take a payout, he surely won't take less than 7.5m net which is what he had before he left us, without growth decreee that's an extra 5m we are gonna waste on top of his transfer fee. Even if we were living in a lala land, that transfer fee would be around 50-60m, better spend it on Vlahovic and I'm not even talking about building a futurem
Well according to anybody involved we wanted to keep him for this season so arguably we could afford him.
I did not say we have to sign him but we have to atleast listen. Again this might be a huge chance to sign a player on a bargain price.....
All i m saying is to say NO now befor we even know the situation is stupid.

If chelsea is desperate to get rid of him and he only wants us we have to atleast consider it.

Again thats a lot of ifs but we dont lose anything by discussing options with chelsea and rom ..also if we cannot afford a unwanted lukaku i doubt we could afford valhovic who according to reports is wanted by most big epl clubs....

Tldr: Not checking how low chelsea would be willing to go would be stupid from.our part
