Inter have made contact with Lazio about the possibility of signing defender Francesco Acerbi from Lazio in the summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Leggo, via LazioNews24, who report that the 34-year-old looks likely to leave the Biancocelesti at the end of the season and the Nerazzurri are a likely destination.

Acerbi has had a tough season in the Italian capital, with fractured relations with the club’s supporters and a struggle to adapt to life under coach Maurizio Sarri potentially pushing him towards the exit door.

The defender could reunite with former Biancocelesti coach Simone Inzaghi at the Giuseppe Meazza, with this reportedly the likeliest destination for him at the moment.

Inzaghi and Acerbi enjoyed a positive working relationship whilst the coach was in charge at Lazio, and Inter have opened up talks about the possibility of bringing the defender in.

The defender is under contract with Lazio until the end of June 2025, but they could decide to let him go in order to free up space on their wage bill.

In an ideal world, we'd renew De Vrij and get both Bremer and Ginter. In the real world, we'll sell De Vrij, replace him with Acerbi and renew Ranocchia for life.

15 years ago, i would have been offended and think a post like this would delusional.

Now....I cant help but feel this is a premonition of the future.

According to Radio Continental [Argentina], Inter are among the clubs interested in securing the services of Angileri because his contract is expiring in summer.

Born in Argentina in 1994, has an Italian passport and, therefore, he would not take a spot for non-EU players in 2022-23.

However, as La Gazzetta dello Sport points out, it would be difficult for him to become a regular starter at Inter given his lack of experience in European football.

The Nerazzurri are considering a number of options on the left as Ivan Perisic sees his contract expire at the end of the season and no agreement with the Nerazzurri over his extension has been reached yet. Eintracht’s Filip Kostic has also been linked with a move to the Stadio Meazza at the end of the season, but Roma are also interested in the Serbia international.

Argentinean media had linked the Nerazzurri with the 28-year-old who sees his contract expire at the end of the season. Club sources quoted by Tuttosport deny the Serie A giants are considering a move for the left-back.

It really depends on Perisic situation. If he doesn't extend we will certainly make a move for a lwb, probably one at a low cost.

Latest rumours, is Inter extends De Vrij and sell Bastoni for profit to Conte/Tottenham.

I hope this is just gas lighting! I dont think Conte will stay at spurs unless given a war chest and its all bullshit. Otherwise if Conte really wants Inter players there is a list he can have including Vidal, Vecino, Sanchez, Kolorav and Gagliardini

Udinese's Molina linked with Atletico Madrid/Juve, I always thought he would be a good option for Inter.

Yes, he was linked to us before the club bought Denzel for half the money Udinese is asking for Molina.
