And who is currently better than Lukaku in our current squad? Even better who is better than any player we're currently linked with? Scammacca, Thuram?

If the money is right, surely we trust a player to be professional and get himself in a position to succeed. He was happy at Inter, and did brillantly for us. And I think he would fit into Simone's system. Dry loan or not, but if we can bring in on the cheap he would be a major step up to what we currently have.
It's not about who is better than Lukaku in our current squad, it's about making smart business and not panic buying. Spending a big amount for the current Lukaku is not smart business. We don't have the same coach, same gameplan or even the same version of Lukaku who flourished under Conte anymore.

And it's not about who is better or a bigger name than Lukaku among the rumored names either. With the state of our forwards this season we are still the highest scoring team in the league. Forwards are not just there to score goals. Goals can be scored by several players in the team, not just forwards. Forwards need to score goals AND function properly in the team. If we find the right players without spending big we can improve the team and our forward line. That's up to the management to find those players and not just linger on certain names who are overpriced and not exactly convincing, like Scamacca.

We need several additions to the team and we don't have enough money to spend heavy. So it's need to be done as loan and free deals, or low cost options. If Lautaro gets sold and Sanchez leaves, Dybala as a free deal and Jovic as a loan deal should be enough to replace them.

I'll take back Satriano as the 5th forward as well and spend what we have on Bremer, 3 new midfielders and a back up for the defence line.

There's no chance we sign 3 new midfielders. There's no money. Best case scenario we sign 2 midfielders, a box to box (Frattesi?) and a vice Brozo/playmaker. I am even starting to have doubts we will sign two. There are even rumours Sensi will be back to be vice Brozo/playmaker next season.

Regarding the attack, based on the latest rumours Dybala is only possible if they sell Lautaro else they can't afford him. That's why they asked for time from Dybala's camp. I also have the feeling they aren't entirely convinced by Scamacca and they're looking around for other options while having Scamacca as backup plan.

It's going to be an eventful summer and i fear not for the better. But there's no point worrying about this now. We have a title fight to win.

Vidal and Vecino are leaving and I don't buy the rumors about Sensi staying next season. That makes it 3 midfielders leaving. We need 3 new ones if that happen. We can make some loan/free/low cost deals and bring in 3 midfielders. It's doable.

Our starting midfield trio not only need proper back-ups, they also need to be challenged for a starting spot. All 3 of them struggled in some periods this season and that affected our results.

when you see this kind of news, it's usually coming from the buying side. Real Madrid wants Lautaro, so the reporters mention Jovic as a potential counterpart, or say that it'll be a money deal and Belotti is one of the easiest names possible to come up since he's an Italian striker with an expiring contract.

We're not going to decide on who the Lautaro alternative is in April, especially when we're entertaining a lot of offers for him and also have a multitude of alternatives.

The only truth here is that RM officially or unofficially asked Inter if they're willing to get Jovic in a deal around Lautaro. I suspect the answer was either a definitive no or a 'no comment'. If we were keen on that he'd be already gone, and I mean locked to go.

Money + Ibra = Eto'o

Money + Toro = Jovic

= Treble?

Inter's possible acquisition of Dybala feels like an absolute luxury when there are presently other positions that need to be addressed as a matter or priority and urgency.
How is a semi-elite forward an absolute luxury when our starting CF is 37? In fact, the only positions where we don't have starters PRESENTLY is GK and CF. All the others positions we just lack backups.
There is also the question of how Inzaghi will look to utilise him in our formation which remains to be seen.
You're overthinking it, it's a straight plug-and-play situation, basically place Dybala in a free role a little off the CF. His job will be to dribble, assist and score every other game. It's a tailor made position for him in fact.

haha Jovic as good as Eto'o? He lead his team to multiple Champions league in anything or that Fifa 22?

We don't have the roster to win champions league. People forget we had so many veterans playing their hearts out and way way past their potential. We also got super lucky and won some of those play 100 games and win 1 time games. Not knocking out treble winning team but it wasn't as strong as people made it out to be it was just all those guys last chance to win and they wanted it more.

I would love to see Jovic at Inzaghi’s Inter.

He reminds me of Immobile. Immobile was labelled ”flop” after Dortmund, Sevilla and back to Torino loan. But with Inzaghi system has been really good.

Jovic as Immobile are not the fastest players out there, but have hunger/eye for goals and have good position and movement. Jovic can also shoot with both feet and can pass pretty good.

Theyre nothing alike. Immobile is more mobile, Jovic is a straight poacher. He's more similar to icardi actually.

I think Dybala is luxury with our current financial troubles. Rumors about 8 mln salary+ bonus and 5 years contract are quite risky for injury prone player and for financially struggling club. As I said before, I'd like to get Dybla for 2 max 3 years but everything above is unjustified risk.

Dybala was an elite forward till 2018. In the last 4 years he has been very inconsistent and he has spent more time injured than on the pitch. He's a massive gamble.
