If it does, and if Lukaku gets relief under growth decree, then I clearly have no fucking idea how it works as both of those guys have been Italian tax resident for 2 years now

How long do you have to be away from Italy in order to qualify for growth decree? Might be applicable to Lukaku if it's only 1 year but not for Mikhi

I've read that as long as Lukaku returns before 1 July he'll be entitled for growth decree. But I'm sure there was a tweet somewhere in the forum that claimed otherwise.

Its supposed to be 2 tax years non-resident, italian tax year runs Jan-Dec, so last year Lukaku was Italian tax resident (didnt leave until Aug), and obviously the year before he was tax resident too.

Yeah.

If it works in a way that if you continue being the tax resident in the country and you had Growth Decree, you continue having that tax benefit for certain period of time? Actually I remember reading that it's like 5 years time. So that it's not tied to any contract, but it's tied to the person who came to Italy from abroad. Person is gonna have tax benefit for the next X (maybe that 5?) years when he comes to the country to be the tax resident.

That would make sense and would explain Lukaku's case too because he was tax resident in August so the June would be the deadline for continuing that ongoing tax residency.

5 years? I thought I read somewhere that it's up to 2 years? This is an article from sempreinter indicating that the growth decree is valid for 2 years only.

If that x is 5 then the rumour about Miki's growth decree makes sense

So I’m assuming something like this for this merecato? Correct me if my valuations are way off?

in:

Dybala free
Mkhitaryan free
Asllani 15m
Bellanova 15m
Bremer 30m
Acerbi 5m
Onana free

65m

out:

Pinamonti 20m
Esposito 8m
Satriano 9m
Mulattieri 3m
Sanchez -4m
Caceido bosman
Casadei 6m
Sensi 13m
Agoume 8m
Vecino bosman
Vidal -4m
Lazaro loan
Dalbert loan
Perisic bosman
Vanhausden 8m
Bastoni 60m
Rano bosman
Kolarov bosman
Pirola 5m
Radu 3m
Di Gregoria 4m

139m
———
+€74m that should be close enough to cover last season budget shortage, but I’m not sure about wages as Dybala, Mkhitaryan, Acerbi, Bremer and Onana are pretty high wages? We also need to renew Skriniar contract this summer. Will it cover that -15%?

We also can get that 15% slice of possible Zaniolo transfer ~€5-7,5m? So it should get us more close to €145m.

—————————Lautaro——————Dybala

—————————(Dzeko)——————(Correa)

Gosens———Hakan———Brozovic———Barella———Dumfries

(Darmian)——(Mkhi)——(Asllani)———(Gags)——(Bellanova)

——————Dimarco————Skriniar————Bremer

——————(Acerbi)———(De Vrij)———(Dambro)

——————————————Onana
————————————-(Handanovic)

I don’t think we manage to sell De Vrij and he will leave free next season? That way he can ask more salary to his last big contract and he is too costly to sit on the bench, so I don’t think we will renew with him? If we get good offer ~€15-20m, I would sell him asap and make offer to Milenkovic (€15m release clause) and lower salary.

We also might see Lautaro sold this summer if our managment decide to go all in on Lukaku and we get good enough offer for Lautaro?

Dumfries is also up there and might be sold if good offer comes (~€30m) Then invest it again to Singo/Udogie/Cambiaso for ~€10-20m…

So it seems our managment has a lot to do this summer

Pinamonti, Satriano, Esposito, Agoume, Casadei might be included to some transfers and others are most likely sold to plusvalenza? Luckily there are plenty of interest as they are on low wages!

2023 summer Dzeko, Gags, Dambro, De Vrij, Handa will leave and I predict we still need to sell at least one of Lautaro, Barella or Skriniar to balance the books as we still have too high wages and get money for new transfers? I see same formula as this and last summer and get older free/cheap players and some younger players… Maybe this path is the way to get us self-sustainable?

If we put with bonuses, Miki 4,2, Aserbi 3 mil, Dybala 6, Say Bremer's at 3 and Onana at 3 mil comes around almost 20 a year.

2 years is the time you need to be out of Italy tax recidiency to be qualified for the tax relief in the first place.

Yea but If you read that article it says "Inter are able to benefit from the growth decree on Romelu Lukaku's wages in his first two seasons"

Zhang's Ok
Mercato report by Raffaele Garinella of ilbiscionenerazzurro.it

Mkhitaryan is done, Dybala chose us and just waiting for "Vidal and Sanchez golden handshakes". Lukaku "wants Inter and his salary has been agreed" now it's up to his lawyer to talk to Chelsea.

"Sales will be used to make cash and buy Bremer and Asslani. On the plate, of course, there are the various redundancies. Pinamonti, Esposito, Satriano, Dalbert and Lazaro. De Vrij's position to be evaluated. The Dutchman has not yet renewed his contract expiring in 2023. Either he renews or goes away. Bastoni has a market, it is useless to hide behind it. In the face of an offer of between 65 and 70 million, he will be sold. The Inter of the future begins to take shape. Time and patience are not lacking, they are qualities that belong to Marotta."
